Jordana CatEye Liner Review

*Press Sample*

More awesome new products from Jordana to share with you today! These are liquid liners in an 8 shade range. There are some really fun, bright colors along with some more wearable, everyday shades.

I really love colored eyeliner for summertime. It's such a quick and simple way to add something to your face without all the blending and layering eyeshadow can require. And when it's super hot outside, you usually don't want to be piling it on anyway!

L-R: Orchid, Suede, Twilight, Caribbean, Envy, Future, Black Brown, and Black Leather

I've worn a lot of these shades and have been pretty impressed! They apply easily and smoothly and have lasting power all day. I will warn you that the shade Twilight stained my lids even over primer and shadow which I was surprised about but I love the shade so much I don't think that it's a deal breaker. ;)

If the brighter, lighter shades intimidate you or don't define your eyes enough, my favorite trick is to do a double liner look with a black liner closest to the lash line. That way you get the definition that makes only a dark liner can give, but you get the bright color pop as well. I did this on my eyes below using Orchid.

These retail for $2.99 each. They are available at jordanacosmetics.com and Walgreens.

See any colors that appeal to you?

Jordana Modern Matte Lipsticks Swatches and Review

*Press Sample*

It's no secret Jordana has some serious gems hiding at the drugstore. I've got some new ones to show you today!

Matte lipsticks have been a major trend this year and the Modern Matte line has got you covered! There is a huge range of shades to choose from and the formula is amazing. Matte lipsticks have really come a long way in terms of comfortable wear and these are right up there. Of course, you always want to exfoliate your lips and wear a light balm for a while before applying. If you do that, you get a pretty smooth application.

Once on the lips, wear time for me is almost 4 hours before needing a touch up. Even then, it was just that- a touch up. Most of the color was still on my lips from my original application, even through eating and drinking! These are not extremely drying on the lips either. If I noticed my lips needed a little something during the day I would lightly apply a clear balm on top.

Let's look at the shades! These first 12 were sent to me first, and I recently recieved 6 more shades to round out this collection to 18! I love the packaging. For a budget brand, it's not too cheap looking at all. I like that the tube perfectly matches the actual lipstick inside.

The neutrals- Matte Bare, Matte Blush, Matte Frappuccino, Matte Tease, Matte Classy

The pinks- Matte Adorable, Matte Popular, Matte It Girl, Matte Dare

The oranges/red- Matte Pretty, Matte Caliente, Matte Style

These are the recent additions to the line:

Matte Whisper, Matte Innocent, Matte Goddess, Matte Divine, Matte Gorgeous, Matte Ambition

So many colors to choose from, definitely something for everyone! My top two are Matte Style and Matte Divine. But being the makeup addict I am, I love them all for one reason or another. ;)

Let me know which colors you are loving!

Pick these up in select Walgreens and on Jordanacosmetics.com for just $2.99!

Jordana Easyliner For Eyes and Fabubrow Eyebrow Pencil: New for 2015 Swatches and Review

*Press Sample*

Jordana is adding 3 new liner shades to their Easyliner For Eyes range.

Top to bottom: Tantalizing Teal, Blackest Blue, and Khaki.

These come in twist up pen form which is always convenient.

Blackest Blue, Tantalizing Teal, and Khaki. This may be just me, but I feel like the Khaki shade would be good for contouring the nose because of the small liner tip and cool gray toned color. I need to try that soon!

These are decent liners but not my absolute favorite. They glide on pretty smoothly and  are good for beginners because they don't set quickly which leaves room to fix errors. But because of this the lasting power isn't amazing. I do get transfer on my upper lid throughout the day which I don't like. I like the new shade choices but I wish the formula was just a bit more long-lasting.

These are $2.50 at Jordana.com.

Jordana has also expanded their Fabubrow line with 3 new shades. Each pencil comes with a mini brow comb. I still prefer a spoolie and angled brush for blending but in a pinch this does ok. I like that these shades aren't as red toned as the existing shades in this line.

L-R: Midnight Brown, Soft Brown and Light Taupe

These do a decent job of filling in brows. I do wish the pencil was more waxy though. Still a great budget friendly option at $2.99!

Is anyone planning to pick these new shades up?

Jordana Color Tint Blush Sticks Swatches and Review

*Press Sample*

Jordana has some exciting new releases for 2015 and I'm going to be sharing them with you here on the blog over the next little bit!

I love cream blushes. They are super flattering and natural. Even though I have oily skin, I can usually wear cream blushes without issue. Jordana is adding to their Color Tint Blush stick line with 6 new shades. They are all very wearable despite how bright some look.

The sticks fit in the palm of my hand and are very travel friendly. They come in little twist up tubes with a clear lid. You can apply these directly to your face and blend with your finger or a brush, or you can pick the product up straight from the tube with a brush for a little more control. That is my preferred method.

Unblended swatches L-R: Rouge Romance, Hot Hot Hot, Baby Pink, Peach Nectar, Sunkissed, and Golden Sheen

These are slightly blended out but you can sheer them out even more with more blending.

I really love all of these shades and think they are very wearable for everyday. I will definitely be reaching for them regularly. My favorites are Baby Pink and Peach Nectar.

Below, I am wearing Sunkissed.

And here I am wearing Peach Nectar.

As you can see these can be sheered out to a nice subtle look or you can do less blending to get a brighter flush.

I would definitely recommend picking these up, especially if you are new to cream blushes. Or have a cream blush obsession the way I do. ;) Best part is that they are only $2.99! I love the shade selection and formula of these as well.

Jordana Playful Pastels Nail Art

*press sample*

It may seem a little out of place, but I have seen in multiple fashion magazines that pastel clothes and makeup are on trend for fall! So, when Jordana released a collection of pastels recently, I wasn't too thrown off! haha Instead of the traditional swatches, I decided this collection was begging to be used for nail art! I used all 6 shades for this look.

I used Whimsical White for the base. I used nail vinyls from Neverland Lacquers to section off my nails. Pastels from thumb to pinky: Sunsational, Pink Petunia, Baby Blue, Lively Lilac, and Merry Mint.

I then added the cutest water decals along the border of the two colors. I love water decals so much! You get such a detailed effect with minimal effort. So many people asked me if this mani was Jamberry nail wraps. haha

You can find this pastel collection at jordanacosmetics.com. Great formula on all of these polishes!

*Here* is a link to Born Pretty's water decals, where mine are from. I don't see the this exact design available anymore but there are others similar. Use code AMG10 to get 10% off.

Bundle Monster's 2013 Create Your Own Plate Collection Review

Good afternoon!

I've got one more catch-up review for you today. I'm sure you've heard the buzz about Bundle Monster's newest stamping plate collection featuring designs created by it's fans. I have close-ups of all the plates as well as a couple manis I did using this set...lots of photos today so I'll keep it short on words!

I thought the packaging was a little funky for this set but if you have an established storage solution for your plates it's probably not a big deal. I need to get my hands on this storage book Bundle Monster carries!

Now for the actual plates! There are 26 in this set full of all kinds of fun designs.

I don't think I can choose a favorite! Endless possibilities.

I tried to create two diverse manis to show this set's versatility. This first look is a more subdued, sophisticated one. I used Nabi Beige for my base, stamped using BM406 and topped it all off with Jordana Lunar Lights.

And a completely different vibe for this mani...Orly Black Vinyl stamped with China Glaze OMG using BM416. I love this effect!

I would love to know what you think of this new set!

You can also read my review of BM's awesome holiday set *here*. My thoughts on plate quality and packaging can be found in that post as well.

There are all kinds of ways to keep up with Bundle Monster:
