Jindie Nails Santa Claws Collection Swatches Part II

Hey everyone!

I've got the rest of Jindie Nails' Santa Claws collection to show you today! You can see my other swatches and review of this collection *here*. It's no secret that I really love this collection and the final 3 are no different!

There is not 1 but 2 holos in this collection! This is called Blue Blue Xmas. Jen describes this as a royal blue linear holo. This is 3 coats for full coverage. I love this color for a holo!

Next, is Kiss Me Under the Mistletoe. Jen says this is a true red jelly with light and dark green holo as well as some gold holo. Amazing formula and only 2 coats needed!

And finally we have Holly. This is green and white glitters, larger red matte and a dark green shimmer. This took a little work to get the red glitters placed how I wanted them, nothing too crazy though. I layered Holly over Essie No Place Like Chrome. Fun combo!

Here is a little roundup of the entire collection:

As well as swatches in case you missed my first post (linked above):

I have nothing bad to say about this collection. Every single polish is so pretty in it's own way and all are absolutely perfect for the upcoming holiday season!

This collection is currently for sale NOW! So grab your favorites! :)

Jindie Nails Santa Claws Holiday Collection Swatches and Review

Good morning everyone!

I am so excited to share with you an awesome holiday collection by Jen from Jindie Nails. Have you guys heard of this indie brand yet? You should totally check out the shop if you haven't before...there are some super awesome polishes for sale!

So I know some of you may be thinking it's a little early for a holiday collection but once you see these I think you will have changed your mind! The collection is called Santa Claws and I have 6 of the 9 polishes to show you today. There are lots of pics, so get comfy! :)

First, is Mrs. Claws, a gorgeous pink holo! Jen description: "Dark pink linear holographic. Mrs. Clause's  go-to nail polish." ;) Application was great and the formula was fantastic. This is 3 coats in indirect sunlight. This holo will have a bit of a price increase compared to the normal price due to the expensive holo pigment it uses.

And taken with flash...love this holo!

Next, we have the namesake of the collection- Santa Claws! Jen's description: "White, red, and green matte squares in a clear base. Looks to me like Santa's outfit. The black squares look like his belt buckle. May be a little thick but no fishing required." I really like this one! The application was really easy and my bottle wasn't too thick at all. I did one coat and then placed some glitters to fill in some areas. I only wish there were a few more green squares in here. I layered Santa Claws over Essie Good as Gold.

I am so excited about this next one! This is Candy Cane and it's definitely one of my favorites. Jen's description- "White creme/jelly base with cherry red matte and metallic hex and some metallic green hex with a green sparkle." This actually reminds me of peppermint bark...yum! So this polish is sheer but can be built to full coverage like I did here. You can also layer it over an opaque color to cut down on coats, but I really wanted to capture the layers of suspended glitter and the jelly- like quality this has. I think this is 4 coats. The big red glitters do require some fishing which is typical of glitter that size. Candy Cane just makes me happy!

And here we have Noel. This should be called Christmas Floam! haha It's pretty awesome. Jen's description- "Red, white, and neon green ultra-fine matte hex glitters plus metallic green sparkle." I layered one coat over China Glaze Glittering Garland and my ring finger is 3 coats to show you how cool this can be with full coverage! I think this is a standout for sure and the formula was perfect.

We are almost finished! This is Just Elfing Around. When I first opened my package, this was the one that got me most excited to use just by looking at the bottle and I was definitely not disappointed once it was on my nails. Jen's description- "Pastel green, white, cherry red hex plus silver and lime green holo hex." I did one coat over China Glaze Holly Day and got really even coverage. I keep saying this but this is a fave of mine too!

Look how pretty it looks in the bottle!

And the final polish I have from the Santa Claws collection is Silent Night. Check this one out...it's got shapes! Jen's description- "Deep navy blue true jelly polish with a purple-ish pink shimmer, holo moons, stars and hexes." It's seriously an amazing polish to look at and the name fits perfectly. Not gonna lie, it was a bit of a pain to to get the shapes out so I recommend painting it on and worry about placing the shapes afterwards. That way you get even coverage of the base. I layered this over Wet N Wild Saved By the Blue, but I would choose a darker base for next time.

So there you have it! I love them all for different reasons. I think this is a well rounded collection for the holidays. Don't forget there are still 3 more that are in it as well!

You can buy Jindie polisehes on Etsy *here* and stay updated by liking the Jindie Nails Facebook page *here*. You can also follow them on Instagram: @jindienails.

I believe this collection will be available for pre-order at some point today. The official release for these is November 1st!

What are your favorites? I would love to hear  your thoughts on this collection!!

Essie There's No Place Like Chrome + Nail Art

Hello readers!

Just a quick post today since it's been a busy day and my poor hubby has strep throat. :(

This manicure was all Dustin's doing, so I can't take credit for it! haha But I do love the way it turned out. All my fingers minus the ring is Essie No Place Like Chrome with a gradient of Essie Stroke of Brilliance at the tips. My ring finger is Zoya Jo and Essie NPLC for the stamping.

This look gives off a futuristic glam vibe. I don't usually go for Essies as much as I do other brands, but these one's don't disappoint!

Zoya Monica + Hit Polish Aquarelle + Nail Art!

Hey polish lovers!!

Today really feels like it should be Friday and sadly it's not. :( 2 more days!

I am excited to share with you this mani that I love the way it turned out. It's easy and simple, but still makes a statement!

My ring finger is Essie To Buy or Not To Buy with Zoya Monica scotch taped at the tips. I added some rhinestones for a little more flair! The rest of my fingers are Zoya Monica and Hit Polish Aquarelle.

Rachel recently revamped Aquarelle a little bit, so I have the older version but I don't think they are too different. Either way, I LOVE how this pops over the dark base!

And a yummy close up...I am still working on perfecting these shots...

Overall, I love how this mani came out!

What do you ladies think of Aquarelle?

Essie Penny Talk + Hit Polish Precious Metal

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all having a great Saturday! Dustin and I did a mini Amazing Race this afternoon with some little girls from our church and I think we had more fun than they did. haha

I have a bunch of Hit Polishes that keep accumulating because Rachel won't stop putting out awesome polishes and I won't stop buying them. HA!

So with that said, I am showing you Essie Penny Talk with Precious Metal from Hit Polish. I am disappointed in my photos...I had a hard time capturing this for some reason. Also Penny Talk did this weird crinkling thing on my ring finger. Maybe if I would have chosen a different base? I don't know...

I liked the mixed metal look of Precious Metal. It's a little out of my comfort zone and I think that's why it intrigued me.

What other base color would you use with Precious Metal?

**PS...Hit Polish minis are on sale 10% off right now until tomorrow at 3pm! Definitely a good reason to pick up some if you have been eyeing any!!

Saran Wrap Nail Art + Baby Nails!

 Hi polish lovers!

My little almost 2 year old decided that getting up at 5:30 am this morning was a good idea so I am posting extra early today! Pretty sure I am gonna crash later though. :/

I have my first saran wrap mani to share with you today. It was an easy technique that I think anyone can do. I chose a fast dry polish to paint over my base color and I wasn't able to get the saran wrap method to work the traditional way, which you can find here. Instead, Dustin had the idea to dab the saran wrap in polish on a paper plate and that worked out pretty well. Here is the end result:

My base color is Zoya Arizona and I used Sally Hansen Insta Dri Speedy Sunburst as my saran wrap accent. Can you tell I am not quite ready to let go of my bright, summer colors? haha

As my post title mentioned, I have some baby nails for you too! It's been a while since I have done Taylee's nails because she can't stay still and always has to touch the polish while it's wet but she always wants me to paint them (what else would you expect from an almost 2 year old?!). Enter the Essie Mirror metallics that dry super fast...she was good to go immediately after painting and her nails were super cute. :)

Have any of you tried the saran wrap mani before?

Essie Nothing Else Metals + Stamping

Hi guys!

Dustin and are are super busy preparing for You Mix's reopening this week, so this post is gonna be short and sweet.

I found most of the Essie Mirror Metallics on a blog sale for $4 bucks each and Nothing Else Metals was one of those. Gotta love blog sales! The Essie metallics are awesome. They do best without a basecoat and they dry really fast! I stamped a houndstooth pattern and the end was result looked really cool with the metallic base. For some reason my pics are a little grainy so they aren't as good as what I usually come up with, but you get the idea!

How do you feel about the Essie metallics? Are you a fan?

The Polish Bar: Rainbow Jello

Hey readers!

Today is the first sorta cooler day we have had this month...as much as I love summer, I love boots and leggings season! ;)

Today I am showing you an indie polish that comes from The Polish Bar called Rainbow Jello. I LOVE this polish! It's just so happy! I layered 2 coats of Essie Marshmallow and then 2 coats of Rainbow Jello. Marshmallow is the perfect base to show Rainbow Jello off. I tried a more opaque white first, but it didn't do this beauty justice.

So even though this is called Rainbow Jello, it reminds me a lot of Funfetti cake. More specifically, this recipe! I could practically smell these when applying this polish...I love 'em.

Rainbow Jello is the perfect combo of colors and glitters in a sparkly milky base (the tiny sparkles in the base are my fave!). I just love it. So much, that I couldn't decide between these bottle shots, so you get two. haha

Have you guys checked out The Polish Bar before? How many of you are loving Rainbow Jello as much as me? :)

Visit The Polish Bar's Etsy shop (there is a Halloween collection!) and her Facebook page to stay updated on all things polish!

Essie To Buy or Not to Buy + Nail Art

Hey everyone!

I have a quick bit of nail art to share with you today. I recently saw Essie To Buy or Not To Buy in Target and quickly fell in love with the blue shimmer it had. Sadly, that didn't translate on the nail at all. It is a pretty pastel purple shade though!

I added some stamping with Kleancolor Metallic Purple. I like how this came out but the Kleancolor took forever to dry, which led to some streaking! I have heard this about Kleancolors before but I figured stamping wouldn't be that big of a deal. Guess I was wrong!

Have you guys tried stamping with the Kleancolor Metallics before?
