China Glaze LOL

Hello hello! I have pretty holo eye candy for you today! There are so many pics because I just couldn't decide on what to post...they are all so holo-y!! :)

This is LOL from China Glaze's OMG collection. It's a grape purple with a linear holographic. This is 2 coats. I did notice that using a base coat made this a little tricky to apply.

I used China Glaze L8R G8R and DV8 for this design. I also used a dotting tool to make the dots. Simple and fun! I really like how the holo all blends together within the design. I didn't use a topcoat and I usually don't with holos. I will be interested to see how much wear I get out of this.

Thank you for reading...ya'll are awesome! :)

China Glaze GR8

Hey hey! How is everyone? I don't know about you, but I am going crazy with all these new collections coming out and no money to buy them! haha Particualrly Zoya and China Glaze fall one's!!

So here is a random swatch for ya...China Glaze GR8 from the OMG collection. This seems to be the least popular one in this collection considering you can still find this online for original retail prices. Even if it's not the most popular, I think it's really pretty! The color could have been more intense had I done another coat, this is 2. Reminds me of Zoya Goldie but holo!

Hope you enjoyed the holo goodness! Have a great weekend!! <3

Milani HD Cyberspace

Morning all! :) Just a swatch today...Milani HD Cyberspace. This is a pretty holo polish...not as strong as ChG OMG, or even Kaleidoscopes though. The flash didn't bring out as much holo as my desk lamp did, but pictures don't turn out true to color with that lighting. And there hasn't been a whole lot of sunlight lately so maybe I should have waited to wear this polish??

Well here it is anyways!

This is 3 coats...I was expecting the formula to be similar to OMG polishes, but it was not as fast drying as those which I didn't like. It also had a shiny smooth finish rather than the "flat" finish of the OMGs.

Thanks for reading! <3

Kleancolor Holo Yellow + Blog Awards + New Blog Poll

Hey everyone! Here is a simple mani that kinda goes outside of my comfort zone because of the super chunky glitter. I don't want to look like a 5th grader! haha

This is before the chunky glitter. Kleancolor Holo Yellow is good in 3 coats and has scattered holo pieces that really stand out.

I bought this chunky glitter from Forever 21. I think it's name is Mardi Gras. I have a love hate relationship with these chunky glitters...I can't seem to fully embrace them, but I can't say no either! haha

I was graciously given 2 blog awards recently. The first from Laura at Clothes Cosmetics and Chat

The rules of this award are:
*Thank the person who gave you this award
*Write a post about it
*Pass it on to 10 bloggers you think really deserve it and send them a message to let them know

I was also given this award by Whitney from Elemental Styles. Since I am short on time lately and I have seen these awards circulating around for a while I'm not going to tag anyone specific but will repost the details for anyone who wants to pass them on!

Here are the Top 10 award rules:

1. Thank the person who tagged you and link to their blog.
2. Put the Top 10 Award logo on your blog.
3. List your top 10 cosmetics.
4. Choose 10 bloggers to tag, link to their blogs, and let them know.

Here are my top 10 cosmetics...in no order other than how they come to mind! ;)

1) Loreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Primer
2) Elf Mineral Booster
4) Elf Studio Eyebrow Kit
5) Dior Diorshow Mascara
6) ELF Studio Tinted Moisturizer
7) Zoya Nail Polish
8) Elf Essentials Eyelid Primer- Just as good as UD and Smashbox!!
9) Bath and Body Works Lip Glosses
10) Loreal Sublime Bronze Instant Action Self Tanner

Obviously, I am an ELF Fan! I really believe that some of their stuff rivals or trumps high end brands. What do you think of my top 10??

Thank you both!

And finally...if you have made it through this monstrous post...I have added a new poll to my blog. Let me know which untried polish you would like to see! I will try to make this a weekly thing. Until next time...<3

China Glaze QT

Hey hey! Today I have a fun mani for ya...using one of the coveted OMG collection polishes. This is QT. I have had this polish for a few months now and this is my first time using it...I underestimated how amazing it is because the holo-y goodness hides in the bottle! I still haven't decided if this is more red, or like a rose pink. It looks different in different lighting. I'll let you decide! haha

I think most holos can be left well enough alone without nail art, but since I had Color Club Revvvolution around, I decided to do some stamping with that. I used Bundle Monster plate 223. This is my first time doing stamping with a holographic polish. That I remember anyways...

I wish I would have paid attention better during clean up!
Ok so I don't use a top coat with holo polishes because I am paranoid that it will mess with the holo...do you guys use a topcoat with holographics? Do you think certain holos are affected by topcoats while some are not? Would love to hear your thoughts! <3

Zoya Mira

Hi ya'll! Here is a polish I have shown you multiple times (here and here)...Zoya Mira. But somehow I still haven't gotten a plain swatch! I just got it in their recent BOGO offer, and the formula seems like it's already thickening up a bit. This is a one coat polish, so that could be why!

I decided that I really need to be better about taking my pics as soon as I finish a mani so that tip wear is not an issue...and using a top coat would probably help (I finally broke down and ordered more Seche Vite...I can't use anything else after using this!).

I did a simple scotch tape embellishment to this look using China Glaze IDK. I wish that I would have had the patience to do all my fingers, but unfortunately not.

I am wondering: What polishes have you bought recently? I am looking for some inspiration! :)

PS. I don't know how I got 2 watermarks on that last photo. haha

Color Club Revvolution

Good evening! I hope you guys have had a fabulous weekend! There is so much sunshine where my parents live, that of course I had to break out a holo! I have to say, it has been hard being able to only choose from the few polishes I brought with me on this trip!

This is Revvolution from Color Club. I bought this from head2toebeauty. I ordered a few of the other Color Club holos as well (Fashion Addict, Worth the Risque, etc.) and this one seems to have to most holo. I know polish compaines have been known to change up the formulas on popular holo polishes.

This is a fun color, but hard to capture! I had taken these pics after being at the pool, which I know better next time thanks to the lovely tip wear you see here! :P I don't use a top coat with holos either so that could be why.

I took this pics outside, which I don't normally do, to take advantage of the sunlight. Hopefully they will improve over time! <3

China Glaze Sexagon + Mini Tutorial

Hi lovelies! I am trying to stay resilient through this mono by keeping up with my nails...it lifts my spirits a little bit. :)

Dustin found Sexagon from China Glaze's Kaleidoscope collection on Ebay. It was used, but it showed up in the mail barely used! Moral of the story: Give used polishes a chance! :)

This polish was good in 5 coats because the formula is SUPER thin. Dustin had the idea to layer it over Color Club Worth the Risque in order to save this precious polish, and I don't think it affected the overall appearance of Sexagon. (I had done one hand with just Sexagon to compare.)

Dustin calls this the "psychedelic" stamp design. It's Bundle Monster plate M221 stamped with Konad Black and Pink. I am including some pics at the end of this post on how to stamp with multiple colors at a time.

So Dustin thought this was a self explanatory thing, but I know there are lots of newbies out there so I figured why not? Here is how to stamp with multiple colors at once:

Put dots of stamping polish on your design. Place the dots in the general area that you want the scraper to place each color when you actually scrape the polish across the image.

 This is what you'll get:

As always, you have to be quick with stamping polishes since they dry really fast. This is just an example of how you could place the different colors on a stamp. Be creative! :)

I hope this helps someone out there and it wasn't too mundane!

I mentioned that I am sick and I will be going to live with my parents for a few weeks while I try to recover and so they can help with my baby. That way my husband will be able to focus on school! We are going to still prepare some things for you before we part ways though...but even so, if there's a lack of posting you know why! Until next time! <3

China Glaze He's Going in Circles

Hey ya'll! So in case you were wondering, no I haven't gone color blind...I know this is supposed to be Pink Wednesday! Last post I mentioned that I was sick and since then my husband AND baby have  gotten sick. Needless to say these past few days have been sleepless and miserable. But I think we are past the worst of it! SO anyways...I was hoping you guys would forgive me for being MIA if I showed you some holographic goodness?... I thought so!! :)

Dustin found this polish from the Kaleidoscope collection at a good price so we picked up 2 (one is in my giveaway!!). I am so in love with this polish!

I wish I had this entire collection because it's gorgeous. I almost prefer it to the OMG collection.

You definitely don't need sunlight to see it's goodness since the holo pieces are bigger and a little more scattered.

So there you have it! If you haven't entered my giveaway, please do so YOU can  have a shot at some of this amazingness too! The link is in the top right corner of this blog. I hope to be back next time with some nail art. <3

China Glaze 2Nite

Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a great Friday! Mine is being spent cleaning. How fun. :P

I have another holo from China Glaze's OMG collection for you today!! This 2Nite. I think it is the second best in terms of strength of the holographic next to OMG. Even in not so great lighting this polish is crazy! I don't normally do this, but I made the pictures in this post XL so you guys can really see the holo detail.

I am so in love with this color too...it's just like China Glaze Secret Periwinkle only holo-fied!

The design today is more simple and I think it's too similar to what I did when I wore OMG last week, but it's still a fun look.

We used Bundle Monster plate 205, stamped with Konad white, and filled in the flowers with a dotting tool using NOPI My Lifesaver, Kleancolor Pastel Yellow, and Sinful Colors Summer Peach.

And another angle, just to show off more holo!

Thank you for reading...you guys are the best! Have a great weekend!
