Shimmer Polish Swatches-Last Batch!

Hello everyone!

It's been a busy past few days and I am happy to be back to posting today. As you know, I have been showing swatches of lots of Shimmer Polish lately. Today, I have the final batch from the ones I sent to review!

Irene is a mostly champagne glitter with a rainbow of other glitters spread through out. This is 2 coats over OPI Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh?

Next is Tammy. For some reason, I had the hardest time capturing this one! I did one coat over Color Club High Society.

This is Julie. One coat over Orly Frolic. This is a rainbow mix of glitters with a predominant purple throughout.

Not to be confused with Julie, this is Julia. This reminds me of Cinderella's blue dress and glass slippers. I layered one coat over Zoya Natty. Such a pretty polish!

And finally, we have Candace. This is one coat over CND Asphalt which is a dark gray creme. This reminds me of bumblebees (or as my 2 1/2 year old says, "bungle - bees").

Tell me your faves from this bunch!

I have reviewed a bunch of other Shimmer in the past and you can see them all *here* in previous posts.
You can visit Shimmer's Etsy shop *here* and on their blog *here* and like them on Facebook *here*!

Stay tuned for a little surprise later today! ;)

Zoya Minka+ Daring Digits Mix My Matte Up

Hello readers!

Today is one of those days where my 2 year old wants to see just how far she can take me because it's not even 10am and I am so over it! Makes me wonder why I am doing this all over again in a few months... :)

Anyway, this mani is a little different than what I normally go for. I like nude polish a lot, but I definitely prefer bright colors to wear. Maybe this is the best of both worlds? This is Zoya Minka with Daring Digits Mix My Matte Up.

In other news, I posted this on my Facebook page last night, but I added some things as well as lowered some prices in my blog sale yesterday. I would really love to get rid of all these polishes I have no use for! :)

Daring Digits: More Dots!

Hi polish lovers!

This is a swatch of an indie I wore recently. It's called More Dots! from Daring Digits polish. It's got got a sheer black crelly base so I layered it over a black creme. I like dot glitter a lot, and it's a classic combo with the black!

This polish isn't actually in stock at the moment, but I am sure that it will be brought back soon. In the meantime the Daring Digits shop is on sale for $6.50 and you can see that *here*.

Are you loving dot glitters that are popping up in indies lately?

All That Glitters Bitter Hearts Swatches

Hello!

It's been super windy and cold today...pretty nasty weather. I have some bright, glittery indies to share with you that have definitely been a bright spot in this gross day. :) They come from All That Glitters, which is one of the very first shops I purchased from last year when indies were just starting to catch on! Kirsten made an awesome collection for Valentine's day with 12 polishes. Even though Valentine's has already passed, these polishes are appropriate for any time of year. I have 6 of them to show you here, so let's get started!

This is Just Lust. This is 2 coats over China Glaze Beach Cruise-r which is a perfect match for the sheer pink base this has. I am a little reminded of OPI I Lily Love You by this.

Next is Not 2Nite. I love this one! This is pretty sheer...I did 4 coats alone. But I like the overall effect. You can totally layer this for a more opaque look too. All the glitters came out nicely....no fishing.

I Luv Me...I was pretty impressed by this one's formula. Most milky glitters take a bit to build full coverage and I almost had it in one coat! Not to mention this polish is super pretty.

Outta Here is a cool one. It's got tiny matte glitters beside the black and white combo. This is one coat over China Glaze Beach Cruise-r again. This polish would definitely benefit from a layer of topcoat to smooth everything out.

Dream On is a peachy pink nude base with charcoal and gold holo glitters in it. This one is sheer as well, but if you are going for a more low key look, it's perfect. I like the mix of something fun in an otherwise simple polish that's not too over the top.

And finally, Heart Burn. I did 3 coats on it's own. You probably see the hearts in the bottle...I tried really hard to get some out and it just wasn't happening. Regardless, I like what did come out of the bottle and onto my nails! haha

And that's it! I really loved all of these polishes for different reasons and think they are definitely worth checking out, even if Valentine's Day is over. :)

Happy Hands Nail Polish Swatches and Review

Hi polish lovers!

I have a few selections from Happy Hands Nail Polish to share with you today. Let's take a look!

First is For You, My Love..., described as a soft nude pink jelly with assorted matte and holo red glitters with a fine red/gold shimmer. This is 2 coats over white, but I think I should have used a nude instead. Either way, I love the shimmer and it's a fun polish.

Next is Motherboy described as a mix of pastel satin glitters in various colors and shapes. A very versatile and girly topper. Love it! I did 1 coat over China Glaze Fuchsia Fanatic.

This is Banana Stand,  a yellow crelly based with brown and green glitters. I did 4 coats without underwear. Definitely reminds me of a banana. :)

And finally, my personal fave, Am I Not Yours? -a teal jelly base with matte and holo glitters in greens and blues. I layered 2 coats over OPI Jade is the New Black. This glitter combo is fantastic and it is super blingy!

So there they are! Do you own any polishes from Happy Hands?

You can find the Happy Hands Esty shop *here* as well at www.happyhandsnailpolish.com and find them on Facebook *here*!

Windestine Spring Collection Swatches

Hey guys!

It's been a while for me...sorry about that! :) Today I have some swatches from Windestine's newly released spring collection to share.

Leilani is a peachy shade with pastel glitters through out. This is 3 coats on it's own.

Crushed Rose is a murky light green base with an assortment of yellow and pink glitters. I layered one coat over Essie Navigate Her.

Rainy Day Blues is probably my favorite! I layered 2 coats over OPI Fly. This has so much depth to it.

And finally, a polish from Windestine's Valentine theme, When Hearts Collide. I layered one coat over Zoya Monica. The iridescent glitters are so glowy in this dark polish!

Tell me which ones are your must-haves!

This collection is available as of today and you can find Windestine's shop on Etsy *here*. Stay in the know by liking their Facebook page as well!

Darling Diva Polish Swatches and Review

Hello everybody!

I'm starting to see spring collections pop up all over the place between the indie world and big brands. I have to say it's refreshing to see all the bright, happy colors! Today I am showing you some spring themed polish from Darling Diva. I have always loved this shop and love seeing what Carrie comes up with next.

 Look how bright and colorful!

First is Bonnie Lassie. I layered one coat over Orly Fresh. Perfect for St. Patrick's Day, right? This could have benefited from a layer of topcoat to smooth things out a bit but that's probably a given with any polish. ;)

This is Zoey Jane. According to the product listing for this, it's a reformulated version from the original. I layered one coat over Color Club Fashion Addict (the less holo version). I should have done a different color to help the glitters pop a little more. But anyway, this was so full of glitter I was actually putting some back in the bottle before painting my nail! Which, it's normally the other way around with glitter...too sparse in one coat. I have noticed this in a few indies I have tried in the past and it's nice to see one that doesn't skimp out on the glitter!

And finally, the surprise stunner for me, Anna. When I first opened the promo package Carrie sent I thought, "A blue holo glitter...pretty, but not very exciting." HA I was SO wrong! Once I had it all painted on my nails I was loving how gorgeous this was! I couldn't stop looking at it! I did 4 coats with no underwear...but the formula was awesome enough that I could pull that off without hating my life. The cool thing about Anna is that you can easily use this as a 1 coat topper as well. Love the versatility...I need a version of this in every color, I think. ;)

Tell me which ones you are loving!

These polishes are available now, in Darling Diva's Etsy shop. Make sure to follow the Darling Diva Facebook page too, for extra perks! :)

The Polish Bar- Swatches and Review

Happy Friday!

I've got some swatches from The Polish Bar to show you today! I have been a fan of this indie shop for a while now. Let's take a look!

This is Party Dress. I layered one coat over black. I not 100% happy with my pic of this because it doesn't capture what it's like to see it in person. It's much more sparkly...see those little iridescent glitters? They really amp up the sparkle!

Better Things is a fun one. I layered 2 coats over OPI Fly. The glitters spread really evenly without any effort, which is nice. It's a more subtle effect but sometimes that's all you need!

And finally, this is Open Sky. This is 4 coats alone but it can be layered to reduce that number. As you might notice, my nails don't look like my macro of the bottle. The larger glitters wanted to stick to the bottom and sides of the bottle. I noticed this before applying so I set the bottle upside down for a while but it didn't seem to make a difference.  I did manage to get one though! haha I think this is a really pretty polish though...it's too bad I couldn't get more of the purple glitter out. I love the tiny bits of silver shimmer throughout, also.

Overall, I would recommend The Polish Bar. There are lots of pretties to choose from in Janice's shop...something for everyone I think!

Shimmer Polish Recent Releases Swatches and Review

Hi readers!

Today I've got some newer polishes from Shimmer Polish to share with you. I have reviewed lots of Shimmer in the past and you can view those posts *here*. For reference, I did one coat of all of these and the formula as always is great. I love how one coat gives the perfect amount of coverage.

Sarah is pretty fabulous. Probably because blue and purple glitters are my favorite. ;) I layered this over China Glaze Aquadelic. Such a pretty combo!

Adrienne is mostly about blue and gold glitters. I thought it would really pop over Kleancolor Pastel Blue and I was not disappointed with the outcome! Love it.

Karen is made up of mostly fine/small glitters which makes this easy to still do stamping or other nail art over. I layered this over Sweet Polish from Born Pretty Store.

Liana has a bit of a dark tinted base...it's really not noticeable over darker colors but I first tried this over a white creme and it wasn't looking so cute. haha So I tried it over China Glaze Elephant Walk. Much better!

And finally, Wendy. This one is pretty awesome! I think the combo of glitters are perfect together and I really love how it looks over Zoya Monica.

Tell me your favorites!
