A Very Girly Milani Strawberry Shake!

*press sample*

Hey guys!

Today's mani I liked but didn't love. I'm not sure what didn't click to make it perfect but it's not terrible either! My base is Milani Strawberry Milkshake. I did an accent nail with Revlon Girly in 2 coats (had this since Christmas and am just now using it...what's wrong with me?!). The rest of this look was created using supplies from Born Pretty Store.

Rhinestone Grabber ( seems weird, but works really well and makes it easy and fast to use small embellishments!)

Rhinestone Studs (a mix of studs and rhinestones!)

Hello Kitty Stamping Plate (love how cute the images are!)

You can use my code AMG10 to get 10% off at Born Pretty, too.

Thank you for reading!

Different Dimension Part II Swatches

Happy Friday guys!

I've got the second part to the Different Dimension post from Wednesday for you today. Get ready for more glittery goodness!

On Wednesdays We Wear PINK is a fun one! Although, I'm not sure where that random purple glitter on my middle finger came from. haha I layered one easy coat over Color Club Yum Gum.

Rainbows and Butterflies is so whimsical with it's butterfly shaped glitter. This is 2 coats over Revlon Aloof.

I can't stop looking this macro! So pretty!

This is Selene. The shimmer in this is to die for. I did one coat over Zoya Monica, but this could go over literally anything...love that versatility!

Next is Hanna. This can be a full coverage glitter in 3 coats. Here though, I decided to layer one coat over Sally Hansen Ruby Rush.

One of my favorite combos...here is 2 coats of Gumdrops over Sweet Polish from Born Pretty. I love how awesome the 2 look together!

And finally, this is Rock, Paper, Scissor, Lizard, Spock. I layered one coat over Orly Frisky. I like the mixture of matte and metallic glitters this one has.

Here are the bottle shots of all the pretties I have shown you this week...a little something for everyone, I think!

And an overview of the swatches...you can find more about the other half in this post.

Different Dimension can be purchased on Etsy. And to be in the know on all things Different Dimension, like the Facebook page

Tell me your faves!

Shimmer Polish Swatches and Review Part II + Bottle Shots and Swatch Roundup

Hey readers!

I hope you all had a great weekend. I have lots of fun things to show you guys this week but today I need to show you the second half of the Shimmer Polish I promised! You can see the first half of my swatches *here*.

The first of this half is Jennifer. This is one coat layered over China Glaze Pink Plumeria. I had a hard time capturing this beauty, so you get 2 pictures and hopefully you can get this gist!

Next is Alice. I layered one coat over Revlon Aloof on all but my ring finger which is 2 coats. Alice is so delicate and has sort of a milky-ish base. This polish is very pretty layered or full coverage.

Next up is Carmen, a lovely bronzy glitter. Here is one coat over Orly Oh Cabana Boy.

This is Linna. I did one coat over Color Club Pretty in Platinum on all but my ring finger which is 2. Linna has sort of a Christmas vibe to it!

And the final Shimmer I have for you is called Strength. I did one coat over CND Ashphalt. Look at the awesome coverage Strength gives in just one coat! There are gunmetal hearts in this polish and they didn't really want to come out on their own so I fished one out but it got squished under some smaller glitter so it's kinda hard to tell what's going on there. But trust me it's a really pretty addition to Strength!

Here is a collage of bottle shots:

And a recap of my last post as well as this one:

So like I said in Friday's post the formula on these are all fantastic and one coat of glitter gives amazing coverage. I think these are top quality indies for sure!

Again, for more on my thoughts on Shimmer Polish, visit my last post *here*

You can shop Shimmer's Etsy shop *here* and on their blog *here* and like them on Facebook *here*!

Do you guys see anything that you like from Shimmer?

Nailventurous Nail Lacquers Pulverized

Hi guys!

It's been forever since I last blogged. My husband and I are all moved out and we drove 14 hours and are spending time with family for a week. Then it's a 2 day drive and we are at our new home! So that explains my absence, and why I will probably have a few less posts than normal.

I have another polish from Nailventurous Lacquers to show you today. This one is called Pulverized. I wore this for my birthday...I thought it was fitting! There is so much going on with this polish that at first I wasn't sure about it, but it really grew on me after a bit. I layered 1 coat over Revlon Girly. Everything places well with the exception of the big glitters that needed a little more work. But it all came together nicely, and even became totally smooth with topcoat!

This polish is total eye candy! Even now, I can't stop looking at the pictures and that never happens! Once again, another great polish from Amy!!

Revlon Colorstay Rainforest + NYX Gilded Glitter

Hi everyone!

I guess it's about that time to be posting some green manicures since St. Patricks Day is upon us. I love wearing greens so this shouldn't be too hard. So for my first St Patrick's Day look, I used Revlon Colorstay polish in Rainforest. I love this green and the fleck shimmer/glitter had me sold!

I thought that NYX Gilded Glitter would be the perfect compliment to Rainforest and I was not dissapointed! If I knew any better I would get a backup bottle of Gilded Glitter. It's a go to layering polish for me that looks great over just about anything!

Have you started doing any green manis yet?

My First Half Moon Mani

Happy Friday! Even though it's been a 4 day week, the weekend can never come soon enough!

My manicure today is a bit of a fail, but I like the idea of it...had I used different polishes I think it would have come out a lot nicer. For the base, I chose Revlon Aloof, from the Edgy Elegance collection. I really like that Revlon is coming out with colors that I like recently, but their formula almost always bubbles up on me. You can probably tell in my pics. Even when I layered NOPI My Lifesaver on top the bubbles came through making it look terrible!

I used round stickers to make the half moon, but probably should have moved them down a little further.

Thinking another coat of polish would maybe fix the bubbles, I added Revlon Whimsical on top. I think I should have just given up at this point. haha Whimsical is another one I wanted to love but the glitter is SO sparse. I ended up doing about 2 coats of this before bed, and by the time I woke up it was a wrinkled, bubbled mess! Do any of you know if Deborah Lippmann's Glitter in the Air is more dense in glitter with one coat?

So that's my nail fail for ya today! ;) What are your experiences with Revlon polishes?

Revlon Edgy Elegance: My Picks

Hey ladies!

I have been sitting on these polishes for a while and finally got around to swatching them. I have seen them at Ulta recently, so you should still have a chance at finding them.

These shades come from Revlon's Edgy Elegance collection that I believe is LE. These are supposed to be metallic, but they don't come across that way when compared to say, Color Club Foiled. These are still fun, but I would have released this for winter instead of fall because that's what all these shades remind me of.

I chose 4 out of the maybe 8 available and for reference, they are all 2 coats.

This first one is Girly. It's a very light  pastel purple. This is definitely a color I have nothing like!

Next is Aloof. Weird name, but cool color. The idea of a metallic white intrigued me, but as you can see it's more of a shimmer than metallic. I still like it a lot though. I have had a soft spot for pretty whites lately.

This one is called Princess. This is a light blue, not my fave of the bunch only because I like the Color Club version a little better.

And finally, here is Innocent. This is a pastel pink with almost a peachy tone to it.

So what do you guys think of these? Have you bought any, or plan to?

Revlon Facets of Fuchsia + Nail Art

* This is the post from this morning...I was having issues with my commenting feature and had to delete. Sadly those that left comments on that post were lost. :(

Hi polish lovers! :)

Here is Revlon Facets of Fuchsia. I have shown this to you swatched before, but I wore it again recently with some nail art! For reference, here is the swatch. This is 2 coats layered over black.

This polish was just asking for some Halloween nail art, so we chose some spiders from the newest Bundle Monster plate set and added purple rhinestones from Born Pretty on top. I'm not a fan of spiders, so these kinda creep me out, but I guess that's the point right?! haha

That's it for now, but I hope to be back with some news on our frankens tonight. We will try to let you  all know how much is left before we sell out! Thanks for your support! :)

Revlon Starry Pink

Hello again! I have officially lost my husband to another semester of school...so it's just me and baby all day. I have mixed emotions about it all, but I'm sure I will adjust.

So I know I have previously shown you swatches of the Revlon glitters, but I really loved Starry Pink and wanted to wear it as a full mani but of course with nail art! First, Dustin freehanded a french tip using  Wet n Wild Silvivor. I wish I could do this as neatly as him!!

And then, stamping was added using Konad Special Polish in black and pink. I couldn't decide which I liked better, so we used both!

P.S. I know my cuticles look horrible here...my skin had taken a beating from acetone...but they look better now! :P

Well, that's today's mani for you! Have a great day! <3

2011 Revlon Glitters

Hi again! So tomorrow is my last day in Tennessee and I am so sad to leave. :( I will miss my family and  letting them have the experience of watching little Taylee learn and grow. That said I am going to be scheduling my posts for the next few days while I am traveling. Our next stop is Arizona.

Anyways, lately there has been some serious buzz in the nail polish community about these new Revlon glitters. So far they have all been spotted at Target and that's where I picked mine up. I am glad I did because these are all glitter heaven!

My favorite is Starry Pink. It's a soft, baby pink with silver glitter suspended in it. You ladies know that I hardly EVER go for shades like this, but I honestly fell in love with it when it was on. I felt so dainty wearing it. :P LOVE.

Next, is Blue Mosaic. This one reminds me a lot of OPI's Gone Gonzo that will be coming out this holiday season. I have this as my pedi right now and I love it! I layered it over Zoya Robyn to reduce the amount of coats needed since this was a thin glitter. I believe this is 2 coats.

And finally, the polish that has probably generated the most buzz: Facets of Fuchsia. Probably because this is a dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Bad Romance for a much more affordable price. This is 2 coats layered over Wet N Wild Black Creme. It was hard to capture so here's 2 pics for ya.

So what do you think of these? I know I'm a fan! <3
