Pahlish Dark Parades

Good morning and happy Friday everyone!

I recently got in on a group order for Pahlish and Dark Parades is one I picked up from that. I have been procrastinating wearing it because of the inevitable glitter removal, but it really wasn't so bad! Dark Parades has a darker tinted base, so I layered one coat over Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Tealy Fast for this mani.

I like this take that Shannon has on the rainbow glitters that we see a lot in indies. Very fun!

Have you tried Pahlish before? Any favorites?

Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect Sea + Darling Diva Fancy Nancy

Good morning readers!

It's been an early Saturday morning for me, so I am looking forward to taking a nap later today!

I recently bought a couple of the Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect polishes. I needed a very light purple (Whisper) for my sister's wedding and they were BOGO 1/2 off at Walgreens so I picked up the other color that stood out to me: Sea. It's a very light mint color. These polishes are very sheer and completely full coverage is 4 coats, but you can get away with 3 for a more delicate look. I should have waited longer for my coats to dry in between because I ended up with a lot of bubbles. :( I do love how delicate these polishes look on the nail though.

My accent nail is a polish from Darling Diva called Fancy Nancy. This is a glitter topcoat that is not over the top and is super wearable. I did 2 coats below.

Finally, I stamped some dots with a Color Club Foiled polish!

So Fancy Nancy has some cute heart glitters in it and I managed to get a few on my nails. I think it is a perfect addition to this polish.

And here is a macro bottle shot. I love macros of glitter. Love.

Have you heard of Darling Diva before? It looks like she is on vacation right now, but has some exciting stuff in the works!

Have a great Saturday!

KBShimmer Watercolor + Nail Art

Hi there!

I have a fun manicure to show you today. I really loved this one and how the nail art compliments it. This is KBShimmer Watercolor and it's totally gorgeous. Probably one of my top ten indies. But not only is it pretty, the formula is amazing! It was an effortless application. I layered a couple coats over Zoya Robyn. My accent nail is China Glaze Fuchsia Fanatic with Sally Hansen Chrome pen in blue for stamping.

Ahhh ... I love glitter macro shots!!

So, do you have any favorites from KBShimmer?

Green Gradient + GlitterDaze Daddy's Girl

Good morning!

I recently decided to try a gradient tutorial using a sponge that I found on Pinterest and was very impressed with how easy the whole thing was. I can't wait to experiment with more combos!

For this mani I used OPI Thanks a Windmillion and Sally Hansen Insta Dri Mint Sprint for the gradient. It's pretty subtle, but I still like how smooth it came out. I layered Daddy's Girl from GlitterDaze on top. (FYI, this polish is going to be discontinued along with some others soon, so get them while you can!) I liked this topcoat a lot (it's kinda reminds me of a pink and black version of CTD) but I wish there was just a more glitter in the bottle because it was a little sparse.

I feel like I didn't get to capture the glitter in it's true form in photos for some reason. It definitely looks better in person. Hate it when that happens! :P

China Glaze I'm With the Lifeguard + Orly Mermaid Tale

Hello everyone!

I had a really bad break on one of my nails a while back, so I have been sporting some obscenely short nails lately. But I got to start over fresh and sometimes that's nice.

Today, I am showing you ChG I'm With the Lifeguard and Orly Mermaid Tale layered. These polishes were made for each other! The perfect compliment. I added some stamping with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Teal-y Fast to complete the look.

Hopefully you guys can bear with me while my nails are growing back! :)

KB Shimmer Proud Peacock

Good evening everyone!

I have a fun indie polish to show you guys today. This is my first KB Shimmer and it's called Proud Peacock. This is 2 coats over Sally Hansen Insta- Dri Blue Me Away. What's weird is that I LOVE how this looks in pics, but in person something felt off to me. I think it's the large black glitters. I feel like they throw off the color scheme of this polish. This is a super pretty polish but I decided it had a better home somewhere else because I probably wouldn't use it again. Speaking of a better home, have you checked out my blog sale? Because I really want to get rid of these bad boys! ;)

How about you? Have you ever had any fickle experiences with indie polishes like I had?

Color Club Daisy Does It + Stamping

Hey everyone!

It's been a crazy day working on You Mix orders...we have probably put in about 12 hours today! But I still try to make time for my polish and blogging hobby otherwise I would really be going crazy. ;)

So for today's mani I used Color Club Daisy Does It as the base. I don't normally like yellow polish, but this one has such gorgeous shimmer I couldn't say no. I used Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Speedy Sunburst to stamp. This is supposed to be a hot pink, but it looks kinda red over the yellow. Dustin says it reminded him of McDonalds. Ummm...not sure if that's a good thing. haha

But McDonalds or not, I still liked it! haha

Sally Hansen White Veil + Nail Art

Hello everyone!

I'm kind of apprehensive to show you this mani today only because I consider it somewhat of a fail. But I'm showing it to you anyway and I will let you guys be the judge. :)

I first layered Sally Hansen White Veil over OPI Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh? I think I sped through application of the glitter a little too fast because it's not looking so pretty. haha

And then because I just couldn't stop adding stuff, I did some stamping with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri  in Mint Sprint. The Insta Dris are great polishes for stamping!

Overall I love the color combo with the glitter, but I don't feel like it came together the way I had it in my head. Too textured for my liking. So I'm gonna say close but not quite on this one.  Hate it when that happens! :)

Lush Lacquer Dreamsicle + Gradient

Good morning readers!

Can I just say that I am dying for the China Glaze Summer Neons collection? I am getting really antsy waiting for it to show up at my Sally's!!

Now that that's out of the way...on to today's mani! :)

This is yet another indie polish from Lush Lacquer. I previously showed you another polish of their's, Chubby Checker, *here*. This one is called Dreamsicle. It's a sheer blue base with pink shimmer with silver and turquoise glitters throughout. I did a sponging gradient using OPI Fly and Sally Hansen Insta Dri Blue Away and topped it all of with one coat of Dreamsicle.

Sadly, this is one that you gotta fish around a little for the bigger glitters. Plus I don't think I did this polish justice by doing only one coat. 3 coats looks a lot like Sinful Colors Cinderella but with glitter. Very pretty!

Don't these close up shots just make you happy?

Mmmm...love it!

I hope to wear this one again as a full coverage manicure instead of just layering so I can do this gorgeous polish full justice!!

Color Club Pretty in Platinum + OPI Pirouette My Whistle

Hey readers!

I hope ya'll are having a great weekend. :)

I got OPI Pirouette My Whistle from the NYC Ballet collection a while ago and decided to finally wear it...although I wish I would have put it over a dark color because it looks pretty cool that way. So this ended up being a more subdued look. I layered PMW over Color Club Pretty in Platinum. I find myself using this color pretty often...it's a gorgeous grayed out white shimmer with perfect application. I really miss Color Club sets showing up at Ross!

I added a stamp with Sally Hansen Quick Color Chrome pen in silver. I think the overall look is very ethereal looking, but subtle.

I have to say I have been pretty uninspired in terms of nail art lately. I don't know what's going on...sometimes I have so many ideas I can't choose what to do next, but that hasn't been the case lately. Hoping to get my mojo back soon! :)

Zoya Arizona + Nail Art

Hey everyone!

Yesterday was an exciting day as Dustin and I launched the new You Mix website! I never got a chance to blog about it yesterday because things were so busy, but there is a coupon code for 15% off your order that will be available until this Saturday. Also, we are having some issues with Google Checkout, so Paypal is the only current payment method. We are working to get that fixed ASAP!

So on to today's nails! I just have some summery nail art to show yall. Zoya Arizona and Sally Hansen  Insta Dri Speedy Sunburst are the base colors and the Insta Dri also serves as the stamping color for everything but the ring finger which is Konad White.

So bright and sunny and I love how the accent nail brings it all together!

Thank you for stopping by!

Strawberry Nails

Hey everyone! Hope your weekend is going well!

I have been on an unintentional freehand roll these last few days. I hardly ever go for freehand because I am such a perfectionist when it comes to my nails. That's why I love stamping so much! :)

But I saw these nails on Pinterest a while back and thought they were too cute! I  chose OPI Love is a Racket for the base which I think looks just like strawberry jam. Then I got Dustin to freehand the leaves. I wanted to use scotch tape to make them, but Dustin did a pretty good job! He used Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Lickety Slick Lime and a black creme for the seeds.

So although I can't say freehand is my fave, I thought these still turned out cute. Makes me excited for summer!

Sally Hansen Insta Dri Skittles + Stamping

Hey there! I enjoyed perfect weather today while watching little Taylee run around the yard. It's so nice to be able to have a break and just enjoy life instead of be busy all the time! :)

Dustin got me these Insta Dri's for my birthday...he's a sucker for pretty colors like me, so I loved them. We collaborated on this mani to come up with the finished look. Colors left to right: Min Sprint, Lickety Slick Lime, Snappy Sorbet, Speedy Sunburst.

I love the look of tribal print with bright colors, so this was the perfect time to translate that to my nails! The design came from  You Mix plate C.

Have you done any tribal print manis yet?
