Teal Nail Foil Crackle

Hey! I have more nail foil crackle to show you today. I don't use these as often as I would like, probably because they usually don't last very long, but they are super fun to use. I made a tutorial a while back for how to do this look. You can find that HERE! :)

So using that same method, we used Wet N Wild Wild Shine in Creme Black as a base. And then teal nail foil from Dollar Nail Art.  This actually lasted me longer than I thought...even throughout handwashing and a shower. I have read that fast dry top coats don't play nice with foils, but since I wasn't planning on keeping this mani for long I tried anyway. We used Poshe Fast Dry Base Coat on top and it worked really well! Who would have guessed?

That's it for today! Have a good one! <3

Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio Swatches and Review

Hey ladies! I have been trying to get to posting today all day long, and here it is almost 9pm and I'm finally able to sit down and write!

I got a few of the Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow trios to review. I wore each of these as part of my makeup look so I could give you a good review...most of these trios were pretty good quality, but there are a few misses for me. I liked the idea of all of them though! I used ELF eyelid primer beneath all of them and these shadows hardly creased on me.

Here are the colors I am showing you. They all have engraved hints within the shadow for where to put them:

And then the back of each palette gives tips as well. I like this idea for makeup beginners a lot. I know for me, using these palettes helped broaden my creativity for what I do with my eye makeup color wise.

First up is I'm Getting Sunburned. The gold is super pigmented and a very gorgeous shade. Definitely a winner for me! I also loved the pink brow bone color. It's not too harsh and blends well with the other two colors in the trio. The brown crease color I was really excited to try because it's gorgeous in the pan, but I think it muddies up a bit when blended and the pink shimmer gets lost. On me it looked practically black. I was hoping for a rich chocolate brown. That said, this is a good trio to use for a daytime smoky look. I included what this one looks like more blended in the swatches below.

Next is I Dream of Greenie. I really liked everything about this one. Maybe because I have a soft spot for green shadows, but these are all very pigmented, easy to blend, and I love love love the shades of green. It does come out pretty bright as an overall look, but when used in moderation this combo is perfection for me.

This one is called Spoiled Brat. Love that name! haha This one is a top pick for me also. The pink is bright and fun-very well pigmented. I liked the black also, no issues there. The silver is pigmented really well, but I think it's a little dark for a brow bone color. I felt i bit silly wearing this all day because I think it suits a night out better,  but with a few modifications I would definitely wear this again!

Finally, here is Retro. I wanted to like this one, but it just didn't come together for me. I loved how these shadows looked swatched on my had, but it didn't translate that way to the eye. They almost have a pearly sheen to them that didn't translate to the eye very well. I wasn't a fan of the colors together either. I wore this shadow trio all day, and by the end it was basically gone, even with a primer. So overall, this one was a dud for me. However if you want to wear color without being too bold, this could be a good option if the wear time doesn't bother you.

These trios retail for $2.99 and you can find these at many drugstores, Walmart, and Fred Meyer.

So what do you think of these? Thanks for reading!

Wet N Wild Ocean Grotto

Happy Saturday! Hope it's a good one for ya! I went to a bridal shower that was outside this morning and even though it was early in the day, it was HOT!

So I was in CVS this past week and saw a very picked over display of the WnW LE Mermaid's Cove collection. They just happened to have Ocean Grotto left, which was the only one I really wanted in this collection!  It's a gorgeous green/gold with microshimmer.

We added a quick stamp to Ocean Grotto, this color didn't need a whole lot added to it because it stands out so well on it's own!

So there you have it! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! <3

Wet N Wild MegaSlicks Lipgloss Review

Hi everyone! I have a makeup post for ya today...I have to say, it is fun to mix it up a bit! I am reviewing a few Wet N Wild  MegaSlicks lipglosses, and the 3 I'm showing you are Cherry Glaze, Cherish, and Rose Gold.

I took this picture so you can see the packaging. Inside, is a sponge applicator. These dispense just the right amount of gloss so your lips don't get too much. None of these glosses are too thick or sticky which is always a plus! Also, as a side note, these glosses are not scented but they don't have a gross taste either.

All of these shades flattered my skin really well and I think they would flatter most people since these are pretty neutral. I think they would work well with whatever your natural lip color is.

Cherry Glaze- Super sheer, the color in the tube doesn't translate to the lip but it does give them a nice, juicy sheen.

Cherish- Probably my favorite of the three, a baby pink with shimmer. It goes on a little funky at first, but evens itself out nicely. This one is semi-sheer.

Rose Gold- I like this one a lot too just because it's an easy neutral that will go with anything. The formula is very similar to Cherish as it is semi-sheer also.

Cherry Glaze, Cherish, Rose Gold

Cherry Glaze, Cherish, and Rose Gold on me, they all look pretty similar here, don't they?

Overall, I would recommend all these glosses. They are easy to wear, and a great formula. They don't last too terribly long, but half of the fun of wearing a lipgloss is reapplying right?! :)

You can get Wet N Wild at many drugstores, Walmart and Fred Meyer and these glosses retail for $1.99.

Wet N Wild Dream Weavers Eyeshadow Palette Review

Ok so this is a first for me and I'm kinda nervous about it! I love to play around with makeup *almost* as much as I love nail polish...so I thought it would be fun to share some products with you every once in a while. This will definitely predominantly stay a nail blog, but I hope that's alright with you guys! :) I am by no means a pro, but I think makeup should be fun!

I loved the swatches I was seeing from WnW LE collection Dream Weavers, so I went and picked up a few at Fred Meyer for $2.99 each. They didn't have all the ones I wanted, but there were still some good ones.

The palette I am showing you today is called Earth Looks Small From Down Here. They are engraved  telling you where to put each shade, which is cool for beginners. But these are also fun shades to mix and match with! I am a sucker for anything turquoise so I really love the eyelid color.

Here are the colors swatched on the back of my hand...they show up a little more pigmented in person. But for anyone that's not a fan of very bold color, these are start out semi sheer and are very buildable. Overall, I'm a fan!

Here is the look I put together with these colors. Don't pay attention to my red eye...I have a baby that likes to dictate when I sleep! :)

Products used (besides eyeshadow): Korres Eyeliner Pencil in black (top lid)
    Maybelline The Falsies Flared Mascara
Sephora Eyeliner in black (waterline)

I played down the rest of my face since I was using more bold colors on my eyes. Here is my finished look:

Products used:
ELF Studio Tinted Moisturizer
NYC Concealer
ELF Sheer Mineral Booster
ELF Studio Cream Blush in Flirt
ELF lipgloss in Bare
ELF Studio Pout Perfecter

(Can you tell I like ELF?! haha)

Anyways...I hope I didn't just weird you all out by not posting nails on a nail blog. Please give me your input so I know to do this is the future or not. Thanks for reading...love you guys!! <3

Pink Wednesday: Wet N Wild Sparked

Hi you guys! I am finally posting for Pink Wednesday again...I swear it's been like a month since I did it. :/
I am excited about this polish today though...it's definitely a new favorite! I was so underwhelmed by drugstore polishes until I used this. Now I have a little hope. ;) I bought this quite a while ago when the Wet N Wild Polishes were on sale for .69 at Walgreens...can't beat that! This is Sparked. And I am more than pleased with the quality... this is 3 coats, but I really could have gotten away with 2. The other thing I love is that the finish isn't gritty and with a coat of Seche Vite- PERFECTION!

These swatches are before the Seche:

I played around with my dotting tools to come up with this simple design. I haven't been up for anything too hardcore lately as you probably have noticed! I used Zoya Areej and Breezi, as well as Orly Green with Envy for the dots. Then I added Seche Vite, and dare I say- is there such as thing as a TOO shiny mani? I had a hard time finding the perfect lighting angle for these pics!

Detail shot- ignore the cuticle mess! :)

So there is my long time coming Pink Wednesday... can't wait to see what you guys have done! <3

Happy Birthday to Me!! + Bday Haul+Why My Husband is Amazing

Here are my birthday nails! It's been such a good day and I got the BEST surprise...

I got a weird crack in my accent nail...not really sure how that happened. I used E.L.F Pearl with Wet N Wild Party of FIve Glitters on Top. Accent nail is Zoya Lolly with LA Colors Crystal Glitter layered on top. For stamping: Bundle Monster Plate BM14 for the cupcake and Born Pretty plate M37 for the sparkles. Dustin got all fancy decorating the cupcake so I'm not sure exactly what he did.  :P

On to the good stuff! I got OPI Guy meets Gal-veston from the Texas Collection and Seche Vite Top Coat.

Found part of the Color Club Untamed Luxury collection at Ross...I know these are fall colors, but they are just too pretty to pass up at a steal of a price!

And finally, my amazing hubby got me the ENTIRE OMG collection from China Glaze. He's pretty dang awesome and I am so excited about these polishes...he was like an impatient little kid waiting for me to open them. haha

We also bought a cute storage solution for my ever growing collection that I will post soon.

I can't wait to show you all of these pretties in future designs! :)
