Orly Stone Cold

Hi everyone! I hope your Monday is going well...my hubby and I are having a Lost marathon this morning. We are almost done with the final season!

So today I have a polish from Orly's Mineral FX collection. My personal standout in the collection...Stone Cold! I first saw swatches from Rainbows and Sparkles and that same day found myself in the backroom of Sally Beauty Supply picking out what I wanted before they put the collection out Sept.1! It never hurts to ask ladies! ;)

This polish is freakin PRETTY! See for yourself:

This reminds me of melted sapphires the way it sparkles, and this shade is blue is definitely a favorite also! You ladies should try to track this down if you can...you won't regret it!

So to add a little something to this (not that a beauty like this needs it) we made a french tip using Fingerpaints Artists Sapphire.

And then some little shooting stars from a Born Pretty Store plate to complete the look! P.S. I have a coupon code in the sidebar for 10% off until August 31. They are also having a giveaway on their Facebook page right now!

Hope you like it! Do any of you plan on picking up some Orly Mineral FX?

LA Splash Oceans Fairy

Hi everyone! I am happy to be back posting today...I had an unfortunate accident with my SD card and everything was erased from it. I had probably a week's worth of posts on there. I just feel sick about it all. :( Since I couldn't go any longer without posting (because I really do love it!), I borrowed my sister's SD card for the time being.

I had pics of this LA Splash polish on my camera, but they are gone now...so these were taken on the third day of wear. Not bad though! This color is a pretty Christmas green, but I still think it's appropriate for any time. This is a glitter polish, but it's not too chunky...which is always nice! It took 2 coats.

LA Splash has a really unique color/finish selection...I really don't know of any of their polishes that are dupes. Though I am sure there are a few.

I also wanted to point out that I added an option to follow by email on the right sidebar a few weeks ago. :)

Well I hope to get back in the groove with some more pics (and some more exciting content) very soon! <3

Hard Candy Mr. Wrong

Hi everyone! I have a favor to ask of you...if any of you happen to see Wet N Wild's LE Halloween polish collection On the Prowl PLEASE tell me! I am very anxious to find some of those beauties! Thank you in advance! :)

Today is a quick swatch from Hard Candy. This is Mr. Wrong. It's a dusty purple with loads of gold shimmer/glitter. It reminds me of Zoya Faye in the way that the gold shimmer sort of takes over the color. At first I really didn't like it. So I swatched it again a few days later just to give it a second chance and I liked it a lot better that time around. Weird. Moral of the story? Give it a second chance!

This polish seemed to change in the light ... that's what makes these pics a little inconsistent when it comes to color, but it's all the light, no editing. We tried to do stamping on this polish and nothing looked good...couldn't find a color that was a good combo...so no nail art. :(

The formula was good in 2 coats, no complaints and over all a great product! You can buy Hard Candy at Walmart for $4.  Do you guys like this shade? Do you know of any dupes for it?

LA Splash Pink Sand

Hi ladies! Tonight is bittersweet because this is the last night I have with all my family together. My sister is going back to college tomorrow. Her and my mom are driving from Tennessee to Utah this week! Wish them luck! :P

The mani I am showing you today is LA Splash Pink Sand. This was a color that I unexpectedly really liked. If you have been following me for a while you know I don't go for toned down shades very often! This is a gorgeous ballerina pink with shimmer.

The formula was a tad thick, but with patience it all evens out ok. This is 2 coats.

Next, I added a gradient using the Glitter Gradient Set from Born Pretty Store to my ring finger. I was very tempted to leave it this way because I LOVE how the glitter looks with Pink Sand!

But alas, I just can't help myself! :) So here is Konad plate M57 stamped with Sally Hansen Color Quick pen in Fuchsia Chrome added to the rest of the fingers:

I know I have been showing you lots of pink and girly mani's lately...hope ya'll don't mind! :)

Color Club Pucci licious + A Little Treat :)

Hi ya'll! Today's post is a random swatch that has been sitting around on my computer for months now so I'm finally going to blog it!

This is Color Club Pucci licious from the Poptastic collection I picked up at Ross a few months back. I'm pretty sure these pics are color accurate, but the blue tones in this polish stand out a little more than in person.

The formula is pretty thick but everything evened out pretty well after a second coat. If you like purples, I think you will like this polish!

And the little treat...my BFF bought this shirt for Taylee...it's covered with polish bottles. How perfect! I thought you guys would appreciate it anyway. :)

Hard Candy Breakup Part II

Hey everyone! I think this is a record for me posting this late in the day. We took more family pics today, only this time with my parents and siblings. We went to the Opryland Hotel to take them and had a good time! I hope you readers had a good Saturday as well!

So in my previous post  reviewing Breakup, I said I wasn't gonna do a full mani with it but I lied! I couldn't resist the matte white/glitter combo. So here is what we ended up with (this is before matte topcoat):

Color used- Sinful Colors Snow Me White, Color Club Bubble Gum Yum and Hard Candy Breakup
Dustin worked his magic and used scotch tape for the french tip.

And here it is matte:

What do you ladies think? Simple, but fun right? And I am so happy with how the matte looks!

Also, just as an FYI- you can now follow me on Twitter @mynailgraffiti. I use it predominantly to post about giveaways, but I am trying to branch out a little more.

AND I recently added an option to subscribe by email in the right sidebar.

It think that's it! Have a great night! <3
