Husband's Halloween Frankens!!

Hey everyone! I have a fun post for you today that I think you will like...my wonderfully talented husband made and named Halloween frankens!! He worked hard to get them just right so he is probably more excited about this post than I am. haha For those that don't know he is an artist, so he kinda gets into all this polish stuff with me! <3

First is, Fairy Frightening. He came up with this before seeing the Revlon Facets of Fushia/Bad Romance polishes. So he was kinda bummed about that. This is a dark purple base with blue shimmer and small and large hex glitter.

Next is Pumpkin Patch, a bright orange with subtle gold shimmer and 2 small sizes of green glitter. This one is definitely my fave of the group!!

Here is Black Raven, black base with a dark purple/blue shimmer.

Magic Dust is a clear base packed with small multi-colored glitter in blues, purples and oranges. This is
layered over Black Raven.

So there you have it! What do you guys think? If you decide you like these, my husband is more than happy to make more for you. He is thinking $5/bottle or $16 for the set. Just shoot me an email (located in the Contact tab). Keep your eyes peeled for my 500 follower giveaway tomorrow! I'm so excited to post it!!

Wet N Wild On the Prowl Collection

Hey again! I had to post again today because I had an amazing find that I couldn't wait to share. Just like many of you ladies, I have been searching for WnW On the Prowl collection. I thought for sure I would have better luck finding it in a bigger city, but I found it at CVS buy one get one free while visiting family near small town Show Low, AZ! I couldn't believe my luck!

So here are swatches for your viewing pleasure!!

First up is Jungle Fever, a metallic moss green. This is 2 coats. I am a sucker for greens, so I like this one.

Next is Buy Me a Drink, a deep wine red with shimmer. This one is very similar to Sally Hansen Insta Dri Ruby Rush.

Ready to Pounce is a deep plum leaning blue with shimmer. It's amazing to me how many different purples there are out there! This is 2 coats.

Inkwell is a black creme that almost covers in one coat. I think this is in the collection to complement the layering glitters.

Behind Closed Doors is probably the star of this collection. If I could only get one polish from this collection, this would be it! A sheer black base with small red circle and large hex glitters. Because of it's sheer quality, this looks best with one coat layered over black like this pic.

This is Cougar Attack. This is a quirky color and I love it! This has a brown jelly base with copper glitter. This took 3 coats, but the payoff is definitely worth it!

Another fun one, Tangled in My Web is small hex glitter in a clear base. Here, it's one coat layered over Sinful Colors Snow Me White. I think this is perfect for Halloween because from a distance this looks like little bugs on your nails!

Correction Tape is probably my second favorite. We have seen lots of rainbow glitters recently, but this one has just gold, pink/purple, and blue square(!) and hex glitters in a clear base. So much fun!

Here is Correction Tape layered over white. Reminds me of a birthday cake!

So that's On the Prowl for you. I hope you guys have good luck finding this and that it starts popping up in more places soon! You can use this great map as an aid in your search. Until tomorrow...have a great night! <3

Cult Nails Top and Base Coat Review

Hey polish lovers! For those of you with a day off today, have a safe and fun day!

Today I am showing you samples of the soon to be released top and base coats from Cult Nails! I was very excited to be chosen to review these products for you guys. This is my first experience using Cult Nails products and just from using these nail treatments I can tell they are a good, quality product. Congrats Maria! :)

Here are the sample bottles. I imagine these will look like the typical Cult bottle when they are for sale.

First up is the base coat. I think the name is creative! It's Get It On Perfecting Basecoat. I like that the basecoat is tinted. This makes it faster and easier to find in a sea of look alike clear polish. The base coat does a good job of creating an even surface for a nice, fresh mani. I have used this under my polish for the past 3 weeks and didn't experience any staining either. Finally, this is a quick dry base coat...who doesn't love that?

And here is the Wicked Fast Speed Dry Top Coat. I always am wary of any fast dry topcoat because I hate shrinkage. As with the base coat, I used this with all my manis for the past 3 weeks and experienced no shrinkage! This does live up to it's name in that it does dry very fast. I would say faster than pretty much any topcoat I have used in the past. My number one reason for giving this topcoat a good review though is that it plays nice with nail stamping!! As far as I can remember, my designs never streaked! My only reservation about this is that it doesn't give a high shine. I don't see this as a good glitter topcoat, but with less textured polishes this gets the job done with a nice sheen.

Overall I would recommend both of these products. Though the topcoat isn't an all in one wonder, anything that dries quickly without shrinkage is a must have! I am glad I had the opportunity to try these. Sometimes you never know what you are going to get when it comes to top and base coats (which can make or break a mani).  So what do you guys think about these?

Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat Review

Hi everyone! Hope you are enjoying your long weekend...any fun plans??

My post today is featuring some of the Sally Hansen Crackle polishes. Since I haven't shown any crackle on my blog I think you can assume that I'm not a huge fan. They just aren't my style, but I know plenty of people love them.  One thing I do like is the bottle shape...that counts for something right? :P

The colors I am showing you today are: Fractured Foil, Cherry Smash, and Snow Blast

Here is Snow Blast over Wet N Wild Black Creme. The crackling was a bit fickle to get even on each nail, but I think it looks decent.

Next is Fractured Foil, a metallic silver. Out of the 3 this is my favorite color, but the crackle effect was not near as good as Snow Blast.

And finally here is Cherry Smash, a bright red. This one crackled really well with no issues.

So which are your favorites? How many of you are over the crackle trend? Thank you for reading! <3

Hi ladies! I just wanted to stop by again to tell you about yet another good reason to shop Born Pretty. I am their Facebook Admin for the U.S. so I can be your go to for all things Born Pretty! :)

They have a sweet new(ish) program that allows you to earn points towards future purchases. Once you make a purchase, you can then return to their website and leave a review or picture of the item. In turn, you earn points! Super easy and rewarding. And with their already low prices plus free shipping, it's not hard to earn free stuff! The other thing I love about this program is that it helps visitors to Born Pretty know more about a certain product. Sometimes reviews can make or break a product's reputation. Sally Hansen Fall 2011 Insta Dri Swatches

Hey hey! I know I have shown you some of these polishes before, but I recently received a few more to review. Since I had access to better light than in that post, we reswatched and here they are all together! I am still missing 2 though.

I am SO in love with this collection. Seriously, if I had to choose one collection that I had to wear all fall, I think it would be this one! Call me crazy but that's how I feel! On to swatches!

First up is Bronze Ablaze. I have shown this previously, but I think this pic captures it better. This is probably the most unique in the collection.

Emerald Express is a gorgeous jewel toned green. However, I had THE hardest time capturing the green for some reason. I think there are many colors out there like this though.

Next is Ruby Rush. One of my faves and also previously reviewed. I love how glowy and vampy this shade is.

Here is Teal-y Fast. Hands down this is my favorite! This seems more navy than teal to me but that really doesn't matter because this color is amazing. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

Coco-a-Gogo is another fave. I know I keep saying that...but can you blame me? This is a rich chocolate packed with shimmer. What I like about this color is that it's not too dark to where you can't tell what shade it is. Sometimes dark colors get lost from a distance.

And finally, here is Quick Brick. Just like the name implies, this is a brick red shade. Another glowy color with lots of shimmer. I couldn't capture the full essence of this color with one pic, so here's 2!

So I'm sure you know my final verdict on the collection, but I will just tell you again- LOVE!! :)

I have seen these polishes in many drugstores in the past month so they don't seem too difficult to find, but this is a limited edition collection so don't hesitate!
