Zoya Robyn

Hello! I got home last night after being gone since the end of July. As much as I don't like calling Idaho home, it was good to be home! haha

So since fall is right around the corner, I figured I would squeeze in another bright colored mani. I definitely gravitate towards brighter colors anyways, but I am looking forward to wearing all those rich jewel tones and vampy shades! Zoya Robyn is the base for this mani. It's a robin's egg blue creme and almost perfect in 1 coat.

And continuing with holding on to summer, these are the stamps I chose. This is stamped with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Blue Away and Konad Blue special polish. The stamping could have been better, but it's cute anyway.

I hope you guys like my "good-bye to summer" mani! Also, I added a 5th prize to my giveaway! Your chances of winning just got a little better!

And if your feeling lucky, be sure to enter the giveaway I am hosting on Born Pretty's Facebook page. It ends in 6 1/2 hours!

Thanks for reading! <3

Dr.'s Remedy Enriched Instant Cover

Hi everyone! I am giving you a quick review of Dr.'s Remedy Enriched Instant Cover. I was intrigued by the idea of this, and was hoping for a super good concealer type cover up for my face. When I got this product, it said it wasn't recommended for use on the face...so I had to get a little creative (more on that later)!

Here is the applicator. I like this because it eliminates mess and helps give a good finish to the coverup.

And here's the creative part! I gave myself a "tattoo" to cover up! :) So this is before:

And this is after 3 coats of the cover up. This gives a smooth, almost airbrushed effect to the area it is applied. Decent coverage, but not a good shade for me. This product comes in light, meduim, and dark. My only complaint is that this product should come in more shades like a foundation does. Then this would really be a miracle product!

This product retails for $40 and is available online  at remedynails.com or you can call  1-877-323-NAILS.

LA Splash Charcoal

Hello readers! As I mentioned yesterday, I am driving back home after being out of town for a month so this post is scheduled. As nice as it was to be away, I am sick of living out of a suitcase! :P

I have another LA Splash for you today. I really love the unique selection this brand has to offer...I would own them all if I could! The one I am showing you is Charcoal. Kind of self explanatory in terms of shade description I think! This went on in 2 coats and is perfect for fall!

Dustin came up with this mani since I was feeling uninspired. It's different, but neat. I don't know...what do you ladies think? Funky right? This uses Konad Black and Pink stamping polish swirled together on the plate.

That's it for today! Have a good one! :)

Icing Force of Love

Hey! I am finally posting...it's been insane today! I got my hair colored today and it took 4 1/2 hours...I was SO ready to be out of there, but it turned out cute so I guess it's worth it. ;)

Today's polish is from a duo polish from Icing called Force of Love. It's a supposed Deborah Lippmann  Across the Universe dupe. I don't own the original, but it looks pretty close to me! This is kinda sheer and I hate doing too many coats of glitters, so this is maybe 2 coats layered over Sally Hansen Insta Dri Teal-y Fast. This polish combo is gorgeous!

To add a little extra flair, here is the stamping design we used to spice it up. Simple, but gorgeous! :)

Sorry for the short post...I am driving home after being gone for a month so I will schedule some posts for you ladies over the next few days! <3

Wet n Wild Color Icon Pencil Swatches and a Born Pretty Giveaway

Hello hello! How are you all today? Dustin and I's vacation is wrapping up and we will be going home in a few days. It was nice to not have my husband tied up with school so he could dedicate so much time to helping me with this blog! No worries though...we still find the time somehow! :)

It's been a while since I have posted any makeup because polish will always be my first love, but I will be showing you a few of Wet n Wild's Color Icon eyeliner pencils today! I got these super cheap at about 60 cents each! Rite Aid had them 40% off a few weeks ago. But even at regular plrice (.99), these are still a steal!

The shades I bought are: Purple, Amethyst, Turquoise, Cool Green, and Sky Blue.

And then in reverse order than above, swatches. All of these went on very smoothly with no dragging. The pencils are very soft so it makes application easy. The downside of that is that the pencil dulls pretty quickly. But the pencils are pretty long and regardless of frequent sharpening, will last a long time.

Here's an eye look I did using Purple. I applied ELF Eyelid Primer and then I lined my upper and lower lids with the pencil. After that,  I patted ELF Mineral loose eyeshadow in Flirty on the upper lid only to the crease and inner corner of the eye.

And here is another eye look using Cool Green. Same steps as above. For shadow, I mixed the top and middle shades in Wet n Wild's I Dream of Greenie palette. Both these looks lasted mostly all day.

I love doing these eye looks because they are easy, but still add some drama to your everyday look without being too over the top. Do you guys like these pencils? I think they are a great quality and value.
I don't like to invest in high end brands of makeup so I can focus more on polish...not that I like all drugstore brands, but ones like Wet n Wild and ELF make that easy!

Also, as their facebook admin, I am hosting a giveaway of some things from Born Pretty on their facebook page. It ends Sunday so go enter! :)

One more thing before I end this post: I entered a manicure contest over at Lacquered Me. My mani is number 21 and you can vote on her FB page OR her blog. I would love to have your vote! Thanks ladies! <3

Husband's Halloween Frankens!!

Hey everyone! I have a fun post for you today that I think you will like...my wonderfully talented husband made and named Halloween frankens!! He worked hard to get them just right so he is probably more excited about this post than I am. haha For those that don't know he is an artist, so he kinda gets into all this polish stuff with me! <3

First is, Fairy Frightening. He came up with this before seeing the Revlon Facets of Fushia/Bad Romance polishes. So he was kinda bummed about that. This is a dark purple base with blue shimmer and small and large hex glitter.

Next is Pumpkin Patch, a bright orange with subtle gold shimmer and 2 small sizes of green glitter. This one is definitely my fave of the group!!

Here is Black Raven, black base with a dark purple/blue shimmer.

Magic Dust is a clear base packed with small multi-colored glitter in blues, purples and oranges. This is
layered over Black Raven.

So there you have it! What do you guys think? If you decide you like these, my husband is more than happy to make more for you. He is thinking $5/bottle or $16 for the set. Just shoot me an email (located in the Contact tab). Keep your eyes peeled for my 500 follower giveaway tomorrow! I'm so excited to post it!!
