China Glaze in Awe of Amber + Nail Art

Hi again! :)

I am back with my nail post for the day. The base for this mani is China Glaze In Awe of Amber that I got on clearance at Sally's (I am in there so much the girls know who I am. haha). I probably only picked it up since I share part of it's name, because the color isn't one I usually go for. This is 3 coats.

This nail art is a bit out of my comfort zone, but you have try everything once right?! Actually, I let Dustin do all the brainstorming on this mani. Sometimes his creative side is just dying to be unleashed, and this is what he ended up with.

It looks cool right? The flames were stamped on using a design from plate I (check out the shop tab for more info) and then the details were freehanded using the Born Pretty dual nail art pens I reviewed recently.

Have you guys tried anything outside your comfort zone lately?

Peppermint Nails

Hey polish lovahs!

I finally have some nail art today! I am going to not do so many swatches anymore because it's not why I wanted to start this blog. As much as I love love love polish on it's own, nail art will always be my first love. :)

I have been wanting to showcase the nail art plates that we have up for sale since a lot of you have been asking about the quality. My next few posts will also be featuring designs from those plates too, so keep an eye out!

The design for this manicure comes from XL plate I.  Sinful Colors Snow Me White is the base and a red stamping polish was used for the design. This gets me so excited for all the holiday/winter manis that are coming up!

To add to the candy look, here it is with Sally Hansen Diamond Strength in Glass Slipper layered on top. I love this topcoat...can't go wrong with a white flakie!

Please tell me I am not the only one excited for making fun holiday and winter manis! :)

Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe Swatches

Hello and happy Friday!

I have swatches of Color Club's holiday collection, Beyond the Mistletoe. I found this at Ross. :)

These all would look much better with a super thick top coat.

This is Gingerbread in 3 coats.

This is Candy Cane. I like that this isn't too rosy and it's more of a pink.

This is Jingle Jangle.

This is Holiday Splendor, the only one in this collection in a tinted base. It's 2 coats and gorgeous.

Here is Sugar Plum Fairy.

And finally, here is Beyond the Mistletoe.

All of these polishes contain holo glitter which make them much more stunning in person!

I think I am tired of swatching only lately and I want to get back to more nail art! So maybe that will make me more excited about blogging. :)

Color Club Scent-uous Glitters Swatches

Hi everyone!

I have been feeling in a little rut blogging lately. Do any of you ever wonder what your motives are with being a nail blogger? I have definitely figured that out since I began blogging, but since there are so many nail blogs out there now, it seems like I'm not making any sort of impact or special contribution. That was a big reason why I started is because I felt like I had something to offer, and now I'm not so sure. Blah...enough of my pity party! Sometimes it just helps to put things out there. :)

My post today is really about the Color Clubs I'm sure you have heard so much about. These are a Sally Beauty Supply exclusive in a collection called Scent-uous. Obviously, these are scented! There are also some foils in the collection, but they were similar to things I already owned.

The first is Orna-minted. This one has a mint scent with multi sized silver glitter in a clear base. Here it is layered over Color Club Cold Metal which I love on it's own also!

This next is Very Merry Berry, and it smells like berries (duh!). This is large purple and small glitters in a clear base. Here it is layered over Color Club Foil Me Once.

And finally, here is Sugar Plum Yum. I think this is my favorite of the 3. Large purple glitter with small green glitter in a clear base. This is layered over Color Club Antiquated.

Alright, so have any of you picked these up? What do you think about Color Club at Sally's?

PS...No More Rack is having a deal on FREE pre cut fimos. Just pay $2 shipping! Check it out here!

Revlon Edgy Elegance: My Picks

Hey ladies!

I have been sitting on these polishes for a while and finally got around to swatching them. I have seen them at Ulta recently, so you should still have a chance at finding them.

These shades come from Revlon's Edgy Elegance collection that I believe is LE. These are supposed to be metallic, but they don't come across that way when compared to say, Color Club Foiled. These are still fun, but I would have released this for winter instead of fall because that's what all these shades remind me of.

I chose 4 out of the maybe 8 available and for reference, they are all 2 coats.

This first one is Girly. It's a very light  pastel purple. This is definitely a color I have nothing like!

Next is Aloof. Weird name, but cool color. The idea of a metallic white intrigued me, but as you can see it's more of a shimmer than metallic. I still like it a lot though. I have had a soft spot for pretty whites lately.

This one is called Princess. This is a light blue, not my fave of the bunch only because I like the Color Club version a little better.

And finally, here is Innocent. This is a pastel pink with almost a peachy tone to it.

So what do you guys think of these? Have you bought any, or plan to?

Super Random Swatches!

Hi readers! :)

Today's post is definitely all over the place. But these pics have been sitting around on my computer for a while and I didn't want them to fall between the cracks and be forgotten!

This is Orly Frolic. This was part of a giveaway I won recently. Good in one coat.

This is OPI DS Signature, also a part of the giveaway I won. Yummy holo! This is 3 coats.

This is Sephora by OPI Just a Little Dangerous. This is 1 coat.

Here is OPI Ink matte suede. This is 2 coats.

And finally, here is a franken Dustin made over NOPI Kim-pletely in Love. A fun spin on all those rainbow glitters out there!

What do you think of these? Randomness is fun sometimes right? :)
