Multi Colored Leopard Nail Art

Happy Friday!

I've got a fun mani to show you today to get this long Memorial Day weekend kicked off. Anyone have exciting plans??

This was Dustin's idea. I haven't done leopard print in a while, so he choose to do that stamp with multiple colors swirled together on the plate before scraping. I love how it turned out! I took pics without holding a bottle to mix it up a little...and because it's easier to show you guys my thumb too! :P

I definitely want to try this method again with a different design and colors. What do you think? Are you a fan of the multicolored stamping?

Sally Hansen White Veil + Nail Art

Hello everyone!

I'm kind of apprehensive to show you this mani today only because I consider it somewhat of a fail. But I'm showing it to you anyway and I will let you guys be the judge. :)

I first layered Sally Hansen White Veil over OPI Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh? I think I sped through application of the glitter a little too fast because it's not looking so pretty. haha

And then because I just couldn't stop adding stuff, I did some stamping with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri  in Mint Sprint. The Insta Dris are great polishes for stamping!

Overall I love the color combo with the glitter, but I don't feel like it came together the way I had it in my head. Too textured for my liking. So I'm gonna say close but not quite on this one.  Hate it when that happens! :)

Lush Lacquer Dreamsicle + Gradient

Good morning readers!

Can I just say that I am dying for the China Glaze Summer Neons collection? I am getting really antsy waiting for it to show up at my Sally's!!

Now that that's out of the way...on to today's mani! :)

This is yet another indie polish from Lush Lacquer. I previously showed you another polish of their's, Chubby Checker, *here*. This one is called Dreamsicle. It's a sheer blue base with pink shimmer with silver and turquoise glitters throughout. I did a sponging gradient using OPI Fly and Sally Hansen Insta Dri Blue Away and topped it all of with one coat of Dreamsicle.

Sadly, this is one that you gotta fish around a little for the bigger glitters. Plus I don't think I did this polish justice by doing only one coat. 3 coats looks a lot like Sinful Colors Cinderella but with glitter. Very pretty!

Don't these close up shots just make you happy?

Mmmm...love it!

I hope to wear this one again as a full coverage manicure instead of just layering so I can do this gorgeous polish full justice!!

LA Splash Night Owl

Hi readers!!

I just have a swatch for you today, but it's not very well known brand so hopefully that makes it a little more interesting.

This is Night Owl from LA Splash. I got this on CherryCulture (who's currently have a Memorial Day 20% off everything sale). This polish seems like it was meant to be a full coverage glitter because one coat almost covered entirely. I layered a chocolate brown polish underneath not knowing the glitter would cover all the way. Now I wish I hadn't because I'm not a fan of how it peeks out at the bottom.

Either way, I really liked this color...I  have a thing for neutral glitters as a pedi so I think I will use this for my next one! There are about 12 colors like this one available to purchase. I had to resist these in the sale this time around because I want the China Glaze Neons that are about to come out! ;)

Have you guys heard of/ used an LA Splash product before?

Also, don't forget to check out my Blog Sale tab! I just added a bunch of stuff. :)

Milani Photo Flash + Stamping

Hey everybody!

Today was nothing but a typical Monday that I'm glad is winding down!

This polish is from Milani and it's called Photo Flash. This polish comes from a small collection that has matching glossy lip pencils for each shade. Cute idea! Below is 2 coats. It's got a really pretty metallic shimmer/sparkle to it.

I call flowers "typical nail art" and rarely use them on my nails. But I think it's an easy design to fall back on when there is no more inspiration to be had (which has been me lately). So that's what I did! I got bored with this pretty fast, but it is a pretty manicure. There are just too many other fun possibilities out there to do flowers (in my opinion), but for me they are fun every once in a while. :P

Do you guys have a nail art design or a polish that is your go-to when nothing else is doing it for ya?

Color Club Pretty in Platinum + OPI Pirouette My Whistle

Hey readers!

I hope ya'll are having a great weekend. :)

I got OPI Pirouette My Whistle from the NYC Ballet collection a while ago and decided to finally wear it...although I wish I would have put it over a dark color because it looks pretty cool that way. So this ended up being a more subdued look. I layered PMW over Color Club Pretty in Platinum. I find myself using this color pretty often...it's a gorgeous grayed out white shimmer with perfect application. I really miss Color Club sets showing up at Ross!

I added a stamp with Sally Hansen Quick Color Chrome pen in silver. I think the overall look is very ethereal looking, but subtle.

I have to say I have been pretty uninspired in terms of nail art lately. I don't know what's going on...sometimes I have so many ideas I can't choose what to do next, but that hasn't been the case lately. Hoping to get my mojo back soon! :)

GlitterDaze Minty Mojito

Hi guys!

I feel like such a lame blogger lately. I am still just as obsessed, if not more, with nail polish...I just can't ever find the time to blog. Between my family, moving, and You Mix things are crazy! But I don't want to give up on blogging because I love it too much. I guess every blogger has times like this at some point anyway.

So pretty much all I've been wearing lately is indie polish...I just LOVE it! And every day I see more and more shops popping up, so it seems like they are here to stay. :) Today's mani is from GlitterDaze. Definitely go check out Sana's shop...she's awesome!! This is Minty Mojito, one coat over a random pastel green from Claire's.

Check out all the sweet glitters in this!

You can see another polish I swatched from GlitterDaze *here*!
