Periwinkle Skittles

Hey guys!

This mani wasn't really a favorite of mine. It looked good in my head, but I feel like it's missing something that would complete it!

Here's what I used: China Glaze 2Nite, Maya Cosmetics It Can't Rain All the Time, and OPI I Don't Give a Rotterdam.

I'm not sure what I would have done differently. Probably added something else to it to tie it all together? Oh well!

Zoya Frida + Jordana Celestial Jelly Sandwich

Hi guys!

It's been nothing but really cold and cloudy lately, which is getting in the way of my swatching big time! But luckily I have quite a few nail pics backlogged so I can keep up the 5 day/week posting. :)

When I first saw the Zoya Gloss polishes I wasn't very impressed. But I can't say no to teal so I ended up getting Frida during a promo a while back. Although it takes a lot of coats to get decent coverage, the overall effect is worth it. I layered Jordana Celestial in between my coats of Frida. Love how it turned out!!

Do you guys love jelly sandwiches or are you over them?

Upcoming Daring Digits New Releases Swatches

Hello polish lovers!

Today I've got a couple swatches from Daring Digits to show you. These will be released in the very near future according to their Facebook page.

First is Druid. The base is pretty sheer, so you could easily layer this over a purple creme to cut down on the amount of coats you need. I did 4 here with no underwear. My camera had a hard time capturing this one because on top of the glitter there's a blue-ish shimmer! You can kind of see it in my 2nd photo.

And this is Amber! I'm excited because that's my name! haha This is quite the complex color...below you can see it in normal light:

But when it gets sunlight or camera flash (what you see here), look what happens! This awesome green flash appears as well as some holo bits. I was surprised at how cool it looks even though you wouldn't think brown and green look good together. haha This was more on the sheer side as well and I believe I did 4 coats, but I think 3 could have been good enough.

You can see more of the upcoming releases for Daring Digits in the shop *here* and like the Facebook page to stay updated on all things Daring Digits!

Kleancolor Metallic Green + Hit Polish Citrus Salad

Hey everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend. :) The mani I am showing you today is very summery.... it kind of just happened that way, I wasn't really aiming for it since it hasn't been summertime where I live for quite a while now! haha

Anyway, I used Kleancolor Metallic Green with Hit Polish Citrus Salad on top. I sliced a few citrus fimos and used them as an accent. Makes me wish I was sitting by the pool with a tropical drink in hand! ;)

Do you like my unseasonal mani?

Sally Hansen In a Flurry + F4 Polish Firefly

 Hi readers!

Today's post is a not so recent layering mani I wore and loved. My base is In a Flurry from Sally Hansen. This is part of a limited edition Insta-Dri collection that came out in the fall last year. I have still seen it floating around a few drugstores. I got impatient before I could find it in person and got it from Colores de Carol's blog sale instead! It's gorgeous! I love all the flecks in a dark base.

I decided to put Firefly from F4 Polish over this. A match made in heaven! I love Firefly because I naturally gravitate toward cool toned colors.

I would love to know what you think of this layering combo! :)

I Love Nail Polish Swatches and Review

Hey everyone!

It's a gross, rainy day where I live. Makes me want to stay home all day and cuddle up under a blanket.  I have a few polishes from I Love Nail Polish to show you and to add some sparkle to this dreary day! :) I'm sure that if you have heard of this brand you know about the awesome packaging these polishes come in. If not, take a look...so cute!

This is Babes in Toyland. I layered one coat over China Glaze Stone Cold. Love how this combo looks!

Next, is Purple Stuff. I layered one coat over Orly Preamp.

11:59 is a versatile glitter...it would look good over pretty much anything. I layered one coat over China Glaze Make Some Noise.

And finally, we have Silver Spoons. This is one coat over China Glaze Running in Circles. Definitely another versatile topper!

The formula was really good for all of these polishes. The base is pretty thin compared to most glitter polish, which helps make application a lot easier!

Tell me your favorites!

I Love Nail Polish can be purchased on Etsy *here*. Make sure to like the Facebook page as well for updates!

*Polish was sent for review in exchange for my honest opinions.
