Zoya Crystal + NYX Beige Glitter

Zoya Crystal is one of those polishes I always looked at but never bought. I knew it was one of the more well known shades but I never felt like I needed it. So when I saw it for sale for $4 in a blog sale, I decided it was a good time to try it. Zoya is one of my favorite nail polish brands but I have a hard time with $8/bottle! I am glad I got it though because it is a special polish. I used NYX Beige Glitter as an accent nail and I like how the gold flecks in the different polishes compliment each other.

I think Zoya should make more of this type of finish because it's definitely one of a kind!

Color Club Fashion Addict Swatch

Hey everyone!

I am showing a polish that I bought when I first started collecting a few years ago and haven't really given much credit to.

Remember when the OMG collection was ever elusive and everyone wanted to get their hands on a linear holo? Now there are lots of options available, but back then I discovered and decided to try out Color Club Fashion Addict because it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Googling swatches led me to believe that it was a super linear holo. But once I got my bottle from Head2Toe Beauty I realized there was another version out there made with less holo pigment. I was pretty disappointed and didn't give my bottle a chance to really wear it.

Fast forward almost 3 years and I finally gave Fashion Addict another chance! Since the linear holo craze died down, I was able to branch out and give other types of holos a try, leading me to appreciate and love so many other kinds out there! Even though this version of Fashion Addict isn't super strong, I still really love it for what it does offer. Check it out!

Pink and Brown Cloud Mani

Hey everyone!

Hope you had an awesome weekend! My Macbook Pro charger decided to die yesterday, so I hurried and emailed myself some pics to blog this week while I am waiting for a new one. Luckily, my husband just bought a new desktop for You Mix, so I can still blog this week! I think my pic quality got messed up through emailing so they look out of focus for some reason. So I am disappointed by that since I know I can do much better!

Anyway, this is a cloud mani that I wore a while back. I used Pure Ice Alter Ego, Essie Good As Gold and Kleancolor Pastel Pink. I always love how these turn out. So fun!

Hopefully you can look past these terrible pics and thank you for reading!

Incoco Nail Applique Review

Happy Friday!
I wanted to thank all of you that left sweet birthday wishes on my last post. :) It was a great day.

So today, I have a review of some nail strips that were sent to me for review by Incoco. They are real nail polish strips with no dry time. That's probably my favorite part of these!

This is how a set of strips come in a sealed package. This is the April Showers shade.  The instructions say not to open them until you are ready to actually use them. This is so they don't dry up.

And a back view of the package has instructions for full nail design as well as using them to make a french tip. The application is pretty straightforward. A good tip is to make sure your nails are buffed/or totally clean. I rubbed a cotton square with remover over my nails before applying these.

Once opened, this is what you get. With most nail strips I have tried, I normally have a hard time finding the perfect size for my nails but that wasn't an issue with these Incoco ones, so that was a nice change.

I combined the April Shower strips with the Pink Parasol printed strips for this spring look. I found that the patterned strips were significantly easier to apply than the creme strips. Once applied to the nail these sort of meld to the nail shape and look like more realistic nail polish than they do in the package.

Overall, these seem to be pretty good nail strips. I didn't have any problems with staying power either. My only complaint I guess is that the creme strips were so much harder to get a perfect application than the ones with a pattern. So I would recommend a patterned design over a plain creme one.

You can purchase Incoco Nail Appliques *here*. There are ton of designs to choose from!

What do you think of these nail strips?

My Birthday Nails: A Dotticure!

Good morning!

Today is my birthday and I did some simple but fun nail art to celebrate. I chose to use my 2 favorite colors in various shades (mint and pink) for the dots. I used China Glaze Hang Ten-toes, LCN I Love Mint, Sation Plenty of Frogs, and OPI PInk Friday. On top of a simple white base there is one coat of It's All About the Glam from NOPI's Kardashian collection to add a little shimmer. These are such fun nails, perfect for a birthday!

Today is going to be mostly low key, but my husband and I have planned a quick trip to Atlanta next weekend to do a little birthday shopping and get a break from life. I am SO excited!

Born Pretty Store Luminous Candy Color Polish Swatches!

Hi ladies!

This is a pic heavy post full of bright, fun colors so I'm gonna keep it short on words.

Today I am showing you a set I was recently sent to review by Born Pretty Store. These are all bright, some neon and they glow in the dark!

As with pretty much all polishes from Born Pretty, there aren't names given to the polishes, just numbers.

This is #18. A super bright neon orange. Even brighter in person!

#16 is a tad lighter than #18. Sort of reminds me of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese! haha

#2 is a bright yellow creme. There was a random streak of pink in my bottle, but that didn't come out on the nail. Weird.

#3 is a bright, pastel green. I love shades like this.

#4 is a super bright neon green! Another one that's much brighter in person.

#6 is a medium blue creme.  I was hoping this would have more of a neon quality, but still a pretty shade anyway.

#10 is a neon purple creme. Love this color for summertime.

#9 is pastel purple. I really like this shade and it might even be unique to my stash!

#11 is a happy pink. This one is a tad brighter in person.

And finally, #13 is a lighter, bright pink. I think this is one of my favorites from the collection, I wore it as a full mani for a few days and was really impressed with the lack of wear I had.

So here are the polishes under a blacklight. You can see that some are stronger than others.

But in terms of glowing in the dark, they all really glow! This is a crappy pic, but you get the idea. With the pink I wore as a full mani, I forgot that it glowed in the dark and at night I was so surprised with how brightly it was glowing. I think these glow brighter on the nail than the bottle shows.

And there they all are again...which ones are your favorites?

The formula on all of these were really good and I think they are fun colors for spring and summer. You can purchase these as a set, or individually. The bottles are 7mL, so mini but not small enough that you can't use it a good amount of times. You can find them on Born Pretty's site *here*. I have a 10% off code that you can apply to your purchase as well: AJ10W21. Plus, there is worldwide free shipping, as always!
