Milani Fierce Foil Lipgloss Swatches

Milani recently came out with a limited edition collection of lip glosses called Fierce Foil that pack a punch in the glitter/shimmer department! There are 6 in this collection and I have 2 shades to show you today. 

Venice and Sardinia

Sardinia is a coral shade. It's sheer but buildable to where you can cover most of your natural lip color.  With both these shades there is a lot of obvious glitter/shimmer so the look may not be for everyone.

 Venice is a light nude pink with lots of silvery shimmer. On me, I feel like it's very sheer and could add glitter and shine over any color without changing it. This has a very metallic look with all the silvery glitter particles. Very pretty!

I almost forgot to mention the scent! I am so obsessed with the way these smell! It's a yummy vanilla cake batter scent reminiscent of Lip Smackers Vanilla Frosting lip gloss which I worshipped as a 12 year old. haha I want to reach for these glosses for the scent alone.

As I mentioned before, the high glitter/shimmer content may not be for everyone's taste. It's not what I typically reach for but these aren't gritty or glittery in the traditional way that makes people shy away from them, so that makes them worth a shot!

New Sinful Colors for Spring 2015

Sinful Colors is probably my favorite drugstore nail polish brand. I have 5 from a handful of new collections they have put out for spring 2015 to show you today! Let's take a look!

There are 3 polishes total in the Opalescent Trend Toppers collection and this one is called Prized Plume. It's a sheer shimmer packed teal. I layered 2 coats over both black and white. As you can see, this is very versatile and gives 2 very different looks! I think the layering possibilities are endless.

From the Citrus Twist Toppers collection, I have Zest of Times and Horizon Shine. I really love these!

Zest of Times is a bright pink shimmer fleck topper that has some color shifting abilities. Below,  I layered 2 coats over a medium pink creme, white, and black. I am obsessed with this over black! I did a full mani with it that I'll show you at the end of this post.

Horizon Shine is a bright red-orange topper with same color shifting flecks. Again, I layered this over a matching bright red-orange creme, white, and black.

And the final collection is Bloomblast Glitter. These all have the indie polish feel.

 Flower Power. I layered this over Zoya Dot which is pretty sheer on it's own but was a nice base for this also sheer topper. Very delicate and pretty!

And finally, Petal Be the Day. This one looks milky in the bottle but applies more like a clear base would. I did 2 coats over Zoya Prim. Very mermaid-like!

And here is the full mani I ended up doing with Zest of Times because I loved it so much over black. I put a row of lavender glequins on top. I love the edgy but girly look this has!

These new polishes from Sinful Colors should be in stores now! At least I have already seen them at my Walgreens.

Jordana Easyliner For Eyes and Fabubrow Eyebrow Pencil: New for 2015 Swatches and Review

Jordana is adding 3 new liner shades to their Easyliner For Eyes range. 

Top to bottom: Tantalizing Teal, Blackest Blue, and Khaki.

These come in twist up pen form which is always convenient. 

Blackest Blue, Tantalizing Teal, and Khaki. This may be just me, but I feel like the Khaki shade would be good for contouring the nose because of the small liner tip and cool gray toned color. I need to try that soon!

These are decent liners but not my absolute favorite. They glide on pretty smoothly and  are good for beginners because they don't set quickly which leaves room to fix errors. But because of this the lasting power isn't amazing. I do get transfer on my upper lid throughout the day which I don't like. I like the new shade choices but I wish the formula was just a bit more long-lasting.

Jordana has also expanded their Fabubrow line with 3 new shades. Each pencil comes with a mini brow comb. I still prefer a spoolie and angled brush for blending but in a pinch this does ok. I like that these shades aren't as red toned as the existing shades in this line.

These do a decent job of filling in brows. I do wish the pencil was more waxy though. Still a great budget friendly option at $2.99!

Jordana Color Tint Blush Sticks Swatches and Review

Jordana has some exciting new releases for 2015 and I'm going to be sharing them with you here on the blog over the next little bit!

I love cream blushes. They are super flattering and natural. Even though I have oily skin, I can usually wear cream blushes without issue. Jordana is adding to their Color Tint Blush stick line with 6 new shades. They are all very wearable despite how bright some look.

The sticks fit in the palm of my hand and are very travel friendly. They come in little twist up tubes with a clear lid. You can apply these directly to your face and blend with your finger or a brush, or you can pick the product up straight from the tube with a brush for a little more control. That is my preferred method.

These are slightly blended out but you can sheer them out even more with more blending.

I really love all of these shades and think they are very wearable for everyday. I will definitely be reaching for them regularly. My favorites are Baby Pink and Peach Nectar.

As you can see these can be sheered out to a nice subtle look or you can do less blending to get a brighter flush.

I would definitely recommend picking these up, especially if you are new to cream blushes. Or have a cream blush obsession the way I do. ;) Best part is that they are only $2.99! I love the shade selection and formula of these as well.

Milani Rose Powder Blush Swatches and Review

How perfect are these blushes for a last minute Valentine's gift?! If you missed out on these last year as part of the limited edition collection, they are back permanently!

These blushes are all very pigmented and super smooth. I can see them working for most skin tones because of this. I am on the lighter side and have to use a light hand or else things can go overboard pretty quick! I find that using my ELF Small Stippling brush is perfect for layering on the product. An added bonus is that the lovely rose design isn't going to disappear after a few uses. It's very much a part of the overall blush.

I love that these are matte because that plays well with my super oily skin type. These blushes last quite a while on me too.

I think my favorite is Coral Cove. It provides a bright (but not too bright if you use a light hand), healthy flush to my skin.

These are pretty much perfect blushes in terms of quality, pigmentation, wear time and price ($7.99). I would love to see more shades of these from Milani!

Milani Fierce Foil Eyeshine Collection Swatches and Review

Almost through Milani's new releases for 2015!

Unfortunately, I wasn't a huge fan of the Fierce Foil Eyeshines. I reallly wanted to make these work and I couldn't make it happen. I am confused because I have seen a few positive reviews among mostly negative ones. So you never know, they might work for you!

These are supposed to give a multidimensional shine to lids. The press release says they are meant to last 2-6 hours. These eyeshines have a very creamy texture. Unlike anything I have experienced before. When I put my finger in the pan to pick up product, it mostly scoots around instead of picking up a substantial amount. The little rubber tipped applicator didn't do much for me either. The way that worked best was to get a little chunk on my finger to get decent coverage. 

For how much of a let down these were for me, they sure look pretty in the packaging!

These are the neutrals of the collection and they performed better than the brights. I think Florence is the better of the two.

Rome and Venice

My main issue with these is that they don't blend well. You could get away with layering a little over some coordinating shadow but I would keep it below the crease to prevent it from settling in it. These don't seem to ever set so they scoot around quite easily on the lid all day.

 I was hoping these would have a "wow" pigmentation factor to them. They aren't very practical for daily use but for a night out if you use them just right it could make a statement. I hate to give a negative review to a Milani product because most of them are spot on amazing.

Milani Color Statement Lipsticks and Lipliners New for 2015

Milani has a few more lip items to add to it's core line this year!

First, are a couple more lipsticks to the Color Statement line. I love both these colors, but then again I don't stray away from many lipstick shades! ;) Catwalk Pink is a bright Barbie pink and Power Pink is a medium berry-leaning pink shade. The finish is pretty shiny and the lasting power is better for Power Pink than Catwalk Pink.

The other additions are two Color Statement lipliner shades. Pretty Pink and Bordeaux. Pretty Pink could stand to be more pigmented but it still adds a bit of sharpness to the overall lip look.

These are nice additions to the Milani line and I would recommend these if you are looking for a new lipstick or lip liner options.
