SinfulColors A Class Act Collection Swatches and Review

*Press Sample*

SinfulColors is back this fall with a back to school collection! There is something for everyone in this extensive collection with different finishes in a whole array of shades.

I have 9 shades to share with you from this 27 polish collection. I was originally sent 10 but one was a duplicate. Some of these are new shades and others are from the core collection.

Casablanca is a silver frosty metallic. If not for the visible brushstrokes, this would be a true metallic. It dries quickly and only took 2 coats.

Ice Dream is a blue and silver glitter topper. I layered one coat over Casablanca. This one would be a pretty winter polish.

Glass Pink is also a part of the core collection and happens to be one of the first SinfulColors polishes I owned. I did 4 coats for my swatch below but this also can go over just about any other polish in 1 coat and add a beautiful dimensional shimmer.

Pink Break is a demi matte finish, light dusty pink. I waited for a while to make sure this was dried down to the intended finish but it still looks pretty shiny to me. The texture does look a bit rubbery to me though. The formula was nice and smooth, easy to apply.

Over Pink Break, I layered one coat of Sinful Sunrise. This is a sheer topper with iridescent shards and glitters. The shards weren't as obnoxious as other shard polishes I have tried. They lay flat against the nail which I appreciated.

Next up, another demi matte finish polish in a bright lavender shade, Truth or Lavendare. As opposed to Pink Break, this one dried to a more obvious demi matte finish. Easy formula to work with as well.

Over Truth or Lavendare, another iridescent glitter topper in a sheer purple base, Night Owl. Even though the base looks purple, I bet you could layer this over any color and it wouldn't change the shade.

24/7...back in the day this was my very first SinfulColors polish! But the thing that makes me sad is that back then 24/7 was the perfect bright neon pink which was why I gravitated to it. Now, 24/7 is a run of the mill medium pink shade. The formula is pretty great though, so that's good.

And finally, we have one more iridescent glitter topper, Late Night Haute.  I layered this over Zoya Cecelia.

And that's all I've got! It's hard to go wrong with SinfulColors. Most all colors have a great formula and there is a wide range of shades and finishes at an amazing price. This collection should be popping up in Walgreens stores now and will retail for $1.99.

Are you going to be picking up any from the A Class Act collection?

SinfulColors Street Fusion Collection Swatches and Review

*Press Sample*

Hey everyone!

I have a selection of polishes from the new for summer 2015 SinfulColors collection called Street Fusion. This collection "reflects the vibrant and eclectic chaos from around the world".

I have six of the 29 shades to share with you today.

Otaku Anime is a shimmery, frosty banana yellow. I did 4 coats...pretty sheer. It is a more wearable yellow since it's more on the golden side.

Maroon Fine terra cotta with a gorgeous shimmer in it. I would gravitate towards this more in the fall, but I do love this one. And I'm not sure maroon is the right color description for this one?

Writing on the Wall is a splatter topper with matte glitter. While this has a neat effect, I don't feel like this topper is very versatile.

Paste-erd is a blue version of Writing on the Wall.

Pink Ansen is an iridescent bar glitter topper. Very cool effect.

Fuji Fuji is a silver holo glitter topper. I love this one the best I think! The glitters were not too sparse which made this easy to apply.

Keep an eye out for this collection out in stores now!

New Sinful Colors for Spring 2015

*press sample*

Sinful Colors is probably my favorite drugstore nail polish brand. I have 5 from a handful of new collections they have put out for spring 2015 to show you today! Let's take a look!

There are 3 polishes total in the Opalescent Trend Toppers collection and this one is called Prized Plume. It's a sheer shimmer packed teal. I layered 2 coats over both black and white. As you can see, this is very versatile and gives 2 very different looks! I think the layering possibilities are endless.

From the Citrus Twist Toppers collection, I have Zest of Times and Horizon Shine. I really love these!

Zest of Times is a bright pink shimmer fleck topper that has some color shifting abilities. Below,  I layered 2 coats over a medium pink creme, white, and black. I am obsessed with this over black! I did a full mani with it that I'll show you at the end of this post.

Horizon Shine is a bright red-orange topper with same color shifting flecks. Again, I layered this over a matching bright red-orange creme, white, and black.

And the final collection is Bloomblast Glitter. These all have the indie polish feel.

Flower Power. I layered this over Zoya Dot which is pretty sheer on it's own but was a nice base for this also sheer topper. Very delicate and pretty!

And finally, Petal Be the Day. This one looks milky in the bottle but applies more like a clear base would. I did 2 coats over Zoya Prim. Very mermaid-like!

And here is the full mani I ended up doing with Zest of Times because I loved it so much over black. I put a row of lavender glequins on top. I love the edgy but girly look this has!

Fun new additions, right?

These new polishes from Sinful Colors should be in stores now! At least I have already seen them at my Walgreens.

SinfulColors Flirt With Hearts Swatches and Review

*Press Sample*

Good afternoon!

Is everyone surviving their Monday?!

I can't believe its already almost time for Valentine's Day to be here! I have 4 of the 8 polishes from a fun drugstore collection by SinfulColors to show you that will get you in the mood for the upcoming holiday. I believe most of these are repromotes from the core collection but there is a new glitter topper that's super cute!

Daredevil is a medium almost neon pink with a subtle blue iridescent shimmer. This required 3 coats but the work is well worth it because I am loving this beautiful pink shade!

Dream On has another slightly neon leaning red based purple shade. This was 3 coats as well, but again, well worth it. Soo pretty.

And the last of the cremes, GoGo Girl. A perfect cherry red. This is 2 coats.

And then we have the awesome glitter topper called Love Sprinkles. It has matte white and pastel pink glitters along with heart shaped glitters! I was hesitant to try this one simply because shape glitters are notorious for being near impossible to get on the brush and I have no patience for that. But I am happy to report that I pretty had to do zero fishing! Most times I dipped the brush in, a heart came out, even after swatching it over 4 polishes. I do wish there were more of the hex glitters because they come out a little sparse for my liking. Overall, very impressed with this one though.

And because these colors are so perfect together, my husband and I came up with a sponging and stamping mani using them!

Definitely pick these shades up if you don't already have them! SinfulColors is very affordable at $1.99 and usually pretty easy to find in drugstores.

SinfulColors Full Throttle Select Swatches and Review

*press sample*

Hey everyone!

Hope you had a great weekend. Today I'm showing you 3 of the 5 polishes in the upcoming SinfulColors Full Throttle collection which features a "rubberized texture" finish.

Race Rubber is a dark maroon /purple. I did 2 coats. The texture finish takes a bit to show up but once it's dry it gets a slightly bumpy texture similar to a texture creme only not as textured but also a rubber look to the finish. Kind of hard to describe but hopefully you can see what I mean in my photos!

Red Tired is an orange-y red. It looks more neon here than in person...my camera just didn't want to pick up it's true color. 2 coats.

And finally, Burn Rubber a bright orange. 2 coats.

There is also a blue and pink shade included in this collection. If you like textures, this is a new one to check out! I think this is currently popping up in Walgreens and Rite Aid by now and will retail for $1.99 each.

New SinfulColors Silk+Satin Collection Select Swatches and Review

*press sample*

Hello polish lovers!

I've 3 of the 6 polishes from the upcoming SinfulColors Silk+Satin collection for you today! These dry down to a demi-matte texture, think a soft touch/soft focus look.

Silver Solution is a shimmery, almost metallic silver. As you can see from my swatch, it's very sheer! This is 4 coats and you can still see VNL. I was surprised since most metallics are practically one coaters. This could easily double as a topper over other colors to give them the demi matte finish.

Solar Flux is a pale yellow and paired with the demi matte finsh, this reminds me exactly of a banana flavored Laffy Taffy! haha For a yellow especially, this formula was the best of the 3 polishes I tried from this collection.

And finally, we have Real Teal. Another one that was a bit sheer for my liking but it does build up into a pretty color. I love the shimmer paired with the demi matte finish...very pretty.

These should be popping up in all the usual places SinfulColors are found. I usually find the LE collections at Walgreens and Rite Aid.

Sinful Colors Crystal Crushes Select Swatches

*press sample*

Hey guys!

I have one more set of Sinful Colors polishes to share with you today, this time from the new Crystal Crushes collection which is the brand's foray into texture polishes. The press release I got describes these as a matte texture with a reflective pearl tone. Let's take a look at the 2 I have from this collection!

This is Treasure Chest, a Tiffany blue with golden shimmer. I did 2 coats. The formula took a bit to dry down to a textured finish so I was able to snap a photo that sort of looks like it would with top coat. This is one of my favorite colors so I really like this one. The shimmer is the kind that gets everywhere during removal though, so beware!

Before- not totally dry:

After- textured effect.

And this is Emerald Envy in 2 coats. The formula and removal were the same as Treasure Chest, except I feel like the texture was a little more visible.

Before- not totally dry.

Dry- Texture finish.

If you are looking for an affordable way to jump on the texture trend, the Crystal Crushes line is a great option!

I believe this is a Walgreens exclusive line and they retail for $2.99.

Have you spotted the Crystal Crushes collection yet?

Sinful Colors Leather Luxe Selected Swatches

*press sample*

Good morning!

I have a couple of the new-ish LE matte polishes from Sinful Colors to show you today. These come from the Leather Luxe collection. Matte finishes have been popping up quite a bit in the beauty world this season....although I don't wear it very often, I do like it.

Laced Up is a bright red-orange. I did 2 coats and the formula was very good. It didn't start to dry too fast before I was finished painting. It dries down to a pretty satin matte finish.

Whipped is a matte black. This is also 2 coats and the formula was the same as Laced Up. I like this take on the typical black nail polish...very chic!

The Leather Luxe line is exclusive to Walgreens and retails for $1.99.

Are you into the matte nail polish trend?

SinfulColors SinfulShine Review and Nail Art

*press sample*

Good morning polish friends!

I have a couple polishes from the newer line fron SinfulColors called SinfulShine to show you today. They promise to deliver a high gloss shine using a self-curing polymer formula similar to what using a UV lamp and gel polish would look like. There are 32 colors to choose from and are 3 free.

First, is Set the Mood, a navy creme with a touch of teal. It almost covered in one coat but there were a few bald spots that made a second coat necessary. I definitely noticed a high shine factor with this one...no top coat used for my swatch.

And this is All the Rage, a bright pink with a hint of shimmer. This is one coat. The formula for this polish was a lot thicker than Set the Mood...it was almost a little too thick. But again the shine factore is definitely there!

I decided to combine these two SinfulShine colors along with Milani Almond Bliss to create a dotticure. I was a little OCD about the placing and the sizes of my dots so it took me forever to finish both hands. haha I had great wear time with this mani and I definitely credit that toward the SinfulShine formula. I loved the glossy shine and wish that all polishes had it built in like this too!

So there you have it! Have you tried any of the polishes from the SinfulShine line yet? I definitely plan to keep them on my radar.

Fan Brush Nail Art

Hi everyone!

I have some fun nail art to share with you today. I have seen this technique done a few times on other blogs and I thought the effect was super cool with a minimal amount of effort. I looked up a quick tutorial, which was helpful in doing this for the first time. All you need are the polish colors you are going to use and a brush like this:

You basically layer the colors over a base color with the fan brush until you get the desired look you want. There is definitely some clean up involved around the edges once you are finished!

So this is the look that Dustin and I came up with!

Colors used: Sinful Colors Neon Melon as a base over white and Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Speedy Sunburst and Brisk Blue. These colors came together in the process to also create some purple and green on the nail!

I am obsessed with this look! I definitely want to play around with some more color combos and see what they look like.

Have you tried this technique before?
