Hi everyone!
I have a few straggling items from Born Pretty Store that I still haven't shown you.
The first is a glitter polish. This has predominantly light gold glitter with some hot pink glitters as well. Below is 3 coats, but this could work as a layering polish using just one coat. I do think that if you are going for full coverage, you will want to use some underwear first. I didn't do that here but wish I had. I think this glitter is very pretty...I don't have anything else like it!
Next is something that I really like. This is the equivalent of Zoya Color Spoons all in one place! There are 120 spots on this and it's only around $5. So far I have been using mine to swatch new colors before I actually wear them. I am always so excited when I get new polish that I have to swatch it right away (please tell me I am not the only one)!
One day though, I really want to have enough of these to swatch my whole collection and have it more organized by color. Another detail I really loved about this plate is the little holes on the side that makes it easy to store in a 3 ring binder!
What do you think about these Born Pretty items? As always, you can use my coupon code to get 10% off your order: AJ10W21.

I had seen the color-spoon type thing before and thought it was pretty neat. Is it hard to swatch the polish into?
ReplyDeleteNope, you just dab some drops of polish in and smooth it out with the brush. Very easy!
DeleteThis polish is really lovely!
ReplyDeleteIs the color chart also from BPS? I had never noticed it and I might actually need a couple of those!
ReplyDeleteYep it's from Born Pretty.
DeleteI love the spoon swatch dealy thing. I'm in the same boat as you, as soon as I get a new colour I need to see what it looks like.
ReplyDeleteThis shade has a lot of the good things that the classic Mad Hatter (OPI) has going for it in a glitter, least from this vantage point. I like it a lot. But I REALLY love the 120 spoon display for $5 each. I am going to look into those. I had been using the wheels that hold 20 from Sally's and yet you cannot write the name/manufacture on them - only space for a # and then needs a print out sheet to correlate the #/name to sitting in the box or drawer for it's full ID status. These hold more and are flatter so they would not stack up high and take up so much room in the box/drawer. And no,...I always reach for something to swatch a new shade on ASAP. Usually it's a white piece of paper which does not show the polish off well at all. These are just great. Thanks for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteI am happy you like the plate...I am thinking of getting some more too!
DeleteDoes each of the little "spoons" come off to easily be moved around or are they stationary?
ReplyDeleteNo, they are stationary...it's kind of like a plate. :)
