Hi readers!
I recently saw a limited edition display in Walgreens from Loreal and Project Runway called Electric Fantasie (spelled weird, I know). There was all kinds of fun makeup items but these nail decals stuck out most to me. These are called The Artsy Muse and are a cute take on the half moon nail art trend.
So as much as I really loved the design and application wasn't too bad, these decals really started to bug me after a few hours! You can probably notice wrinkles along some edges. These lay perfectly flat after application but they wouldn't stay that way! Ugh it was so annoying...and once I could see the texture and feel it I had to take these off.
It's a shame these weren't my fave for how cute they are! I am starting to form the opinion that if the strips aren't real nail polish like the Sally Hansen ones, they aren't going to be as good.
Have any of you had a better experience with these kinds of nail strips?
I bought the same ones over the weekend and had the same wrinkle issue. then i thought i could fixed the problem and put a top coat on. LOL but that totally ruined them. the topcoat (seche vite)kind of ate the nail strips. it was really weird. they were really cute though :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I know what you mean about them getting a bit annoying after a little while, because of the wrinkles))) I have very curved nails, so it's a pain! The only time I can make everything perfectly smooth is if I use something pliable (like Sally Hansen strips)
ReplyDeleteAwww! Such a shame those are really cute and indeed artsy.
ReplyDeleteReally pretty, it reminds me of a jester! I haven't tried decals yet.

ReplyDeleteShame they wouldn't stay flat! Because I love how they look. The index finger reminds me of one of Freddie Mercury's outfits from the 70's!
