Cheeky Stamping Plate Review

Good evening readers!

It's been one of those days where I just haven't gotten around to blogging until the day is practically over. Better late than never I suppose!

So I recently had the chance to test out some stamping plates from a brand that I hadn't tried before called Cheeky. I just think it's awesome how easily accessible stamping plates have become. I remember when Konad was the only one out there and it was super expensive! Luckily, brands like Cheeky make stamping supplies much more accessible and affordable. I think you get more than you pay for with this set. Check it out: A nice storage box, protective film over the front of the plates as well as a coating on the back, and a cute card that can double as a scraper. . The packaging itself is super cute and definitely adds to the appeal of the product.

I did some stamping over some LCN colors that I will be reviewing soon. I mostly used metallics to stamp and that makes it a little more difficult for the image to transfer smoothly sometimes, so any bald areas are because of that and not the quality of the plates.

Love the fun range of designs! I would definitely recommend these plates and they are nicely priced at $25/set. You can purchase the set *here*!

New Shimmer Polish Swatches!

Hello my lovely readers!

I'm back from a bit of sporadic posting during the holiday weekend but I've got lots to show you coming up so I should be around for a while!

I'm sure most of you have heard of Shimmer polish, an indie brand. I have previously featured this brand quite a few times now and haven't been disappointed yet! This next group I am about to show you is no exception. So let's get right to it!

This is one coat of Elsa over Dr.'s Remedy Bold Baby Blue. 3 coats would definitely give you a full coverage look.

Next, is Sonia. One coat over Orly Buried Alive. This one is my favorite of this group because of the iridescent glitters in it. They really add something to this already pretty polish!

Jasmine is a fun one. I believe this is 2 coats over OPI Fly. Love the coverage this gets in only 2 coats!

Here is Fanny layered over Zoya Rory in one coat. I love pink, so this is an automatic fave for me!

And finally, we have Jenny. I know I keep saying this, but I love this one! It looks amazing here over China Glaze Blue Year's Eve. What a fun combo of glitters!

What are your favorites of this bunch?

I previously featured Shimmer *here*, *here*, *here* AND *here* haha. So check those links for even more swatches!

You can shop Shimmer's Etsy shop *here* and on their blog *here* and like them on Facebook *here*!

My Thanksgiving Mani!

Good morning!

Just a quick post to show you what I wore on my nails for Thanksgiving. A little late but that's ok! :) I did this mani sitting on the couch with my 2 year old jumping all over the place so that said, I'm quite happy with how the whole thing turned out. haha

I did a sponging gradient with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Bronze Ablaze and Quick Brick and topped it off with Autumn Harvest from Hit Polish. My accent nail is a feather...I should have doubled up on topcoat because it's looking a little dull.

Overall, I think it looks cute. :)

Nails Inc. Sugar House Lane

Hey readers!

I have been so busy lately I missed out on blogging the past few days! Sad. ;)

I have a swatch of Nails Inc Sugar House Lane for you guys today. This line of polish is kind of old news but I finally bought a couple recently. They are actually my first polishes from this brand!

I believe this is 2 or 3 coats. The formula was pretty good and the glitter dispersed well. I love this unexpected nude base. Also, I thought these glitters were matte before seeing them in person but they are really metallic. The milky base masks the metallic finish quite a bit though.

Do you like this combo for a polish?

I've got lots of fun reviews coming up over the next week or so, so stay tuned for that!

ECCE Nail Polish Swatches and Review

Hi!

I've got a new-to-me indie line to share with you guys today. They come from Esther's Nail Center. You should definitely check out the store if you haven't before!

First is Gloria, a yellow tinted base with holographic silver glitters in a variety of shapes. I'm loving the stars! This is one easy coat over Zoya Pippa. The stars actually placed themselves nicely, also.

I'm Wonderfully Made is a fave of mine. This one is versatile in that you can do one coat or three for full coverage, which is what I did here. I love that the combo of the sizes of glitters used. It really adds dimension to this polish.

Next, is Love is Patient. Cute name! This is a sheer pink tinted base with a variety of silver holo glitters. I layered one coat over Zoya Lara. These glitters wanted to clump together a little bit instead of spread out as evenly as the ones in Gloria.

And finally, here's Don't Be Afraid. I love this one! I did 2 coats and the formula was great. The fine silver glitters aren't gritty at all. I can see myself reaching for this color again.

You can purchase these polishes and more from Esther Nail Center. You can also follow them on Facebook *here*.

And that's it! What do you think? Any standouts?

Different Dimension Cuticle Balm Review

Hey readers!

I've got something a little different to show you today...some cuticle balm from Different Dimension! We all know that healthy, tidy cuticles make a big difference and these cuticle balms make that easy.

I think my favorite thing about these is that they come in a twist up tube (similar to lip balm). I like the tube for the portability factor. I keep one of these in my purse and pull it out when I'm bored or whenever I happen to need it on the go and it's the perfect no-mess solution for moisturized cuticles.

As for the scented aspect of these, I am a fan! My favorite is Watermelon because I love fruity scents. This is actually my first time using a cuticle balm/cream that's nicely scented and not just generic.

This cuticle balm probably isn't for someone with super dry and cracked cuticles, but it definitely gets the job done for moderate dryness and with regular use it's a great option! I also really like that the formula isn't greasy; so you aren't left with an excess of junk that you have to wipe off.

Different Dimension can be purchased on Etsy. And to be in the know on all things Different Dimension, like the Facebook page!
Have any of you tried these cuticle balms from Different Dimension?

Jindie Nails- New Polishes For Winter -Swatches!

Hi readers!!

I have a fun post for you today and I am excited to share these polishes you! They come from Jindie Nails, a favorite shop of mine for many reasons, including: quality, creativity, and customer service. Jen of Jindie Nails is overflowing with all these things and it really shows in what she has to offer in her shop. So sit back and enjoy some eye candy...here's what's on tap for today:

Snow Angels makes me weak! I love minty/aqua shades and the mixture of glitters in this is just perfection. This is in a pastel teal "crelly" base and the pink glitters are actually dots! Love love love. I layered 2 coats over China Glaze Aquadelic.

Let's Get this Party Started is a fun one. This has a hot pink shimmery base with a blue flash to it. This one has dots also! I layered one coat over Zoya Lara. The large iridescent glitters didn't want to photograph well and they look a lot better in person than they do here.

Next, is Talk Nerdy To Me. How cute is this? I layered 2 easy coats over LA Splash Pink Sand. This milky pink base could probably build up to full coverage without any underwear also.

Bells and Whistles is a fave of mine. All the shades of purple glitters work so well together and the butterflies just complete this! This has such a pretty lilac shimmery base so I decided to layer it over China Glaze Sweet Hook in 2 coats.

If you follow Jindie Nails on Facebook, I am sure you have seen the buzz on the next 2 polishes I am about to show you. That's because there is neon translucent glitter involved!

The first is called Swoon. Perfect name because it's a swoon-worthy polish! ;) Swoon is made up of a pale blue "crelly" base with blue dots and hex glitters and of course the neons. I did 2 coats over Kleancolor Pastel Blue. A note about these neon glitters: At first I thought they were sparse in the bottle because they weren't coming out on the brush very easily, but once looking inside the bottle, there are plenty of them (plus Jen doesn't hold back on glitter in her creations!). These neons are super thin and I think that makes it a little hard for them to maneuver themselves naturally onto the brush. So I did end up placing most of these, but I think you will agree that it is very worth it!

The next polish with the neon glitters is called Candy Land. This is one original polish! It's so happy and I love looking at it! This has a white milky base and I didn't want to detract from that so I layered it over Essie Marshmallow. The same as above goes for this polish also, I did place a lot of these. Most of the time that would bother me, but for a polish this awesome I really don't mind!

Next up, is Zomboy. This was an unexpected fave of mine. It's a gorgeous blue "crelly" shimmer base with pink and blue glitters. I layered 2 easy coats over China Glaze Ride the Waves. So pretty!

And that's it! Here's a little recap of the swatches you saw today:

Jindie Nail's shop is currently on vacation to catch up on orders, so be sure to follow her on Facebook to know when she is planning to open back up!

Your turn! Tell me your favorites of the bunch!
