Hello again!
I am back with another post today, this time featuring the items I got in my Ipsy Glam bag. This is my second month with Ipsy and so far I am very happy with the selection of products being sent out each time. I have always held off on the many subscription boxes out there mainly because I didn't see the value of paying $10+ for tiny samples and the occasional full size product. Ipsy is all about deluxe samples and full size products for $10/month with coupon codes to use with each brand that Ipsy is using for the month, plus you get a cute little makeup bag each month as well!
Let's get to my bag for July! The theme was Beach Beauty. You don't have to live near the beach to enjoy these products though...they are perfect the the summer season anywhere. The actual bag this month is a round, plastic case that's great for keeping things dry at the pool or beach and being able to see what's in the bag without too much digging.
First up is a nail polish from Nailtini in Mai Tai. This is a tomato-y red creme and surprisingly I don't think I have anything else like it in my collection! I am sure I will be showing it in the near future here on the blog.
Next, is a chubby lip crayon from Pop Beauty in the shade Fuchsia Flirt. My favorite chubby pencils for lips are the Revlon Balm Stains but this isn't a stain so I am going to be interested to see how the wear time compares between the two. I really like the shade, it's a bright, almost pastel pink.
This is 2 swipes of the pencil.
Next up is an SPF for face that doubles as a moisturizer. Pretty straightforward, this is a deluxe sample that I think will get a lot of uses out of since it's just for the face.
The next item in my bag is a beach spray from the Healthy Sexy Hair line. It's almost 2 ounces of product and since I don't think I will use this everyday it should last quite a while. I don't usually indulge in hair products so I am interested to see how this works on my hair which is fine with not a lot of natural wave. I like that this has a conditioning aspect to it, since most texture sprays tend to have a drying effect on hair.
And finally, there is this little eyeshadow sample palette from BH Cosmetics. There are 3 eyeshadows in here that are about the size of a nickle, maybe a little bigger.
The purple shade doesn't seem to be very pigmented (I did 3 swipes for the swatch below), the brown seems a little better and the gold was the most pigmented. I don't think I would wear these 3 together but I will be trying these with other color combos separately.
And that's it! A fun little package to get in the mail, right?
