Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat Review

Hi everyone! Hope you are enjoying your long weekend...any fun plans??

My post today is featuring some of the Sally Hansen Crackle polishes. Since I haven't shown any crackle on my blog I think you can assume that I'm not a huge fan. They just aren't my style, but I know plenty of people love them.  One thing I do like is the bottle shape...that counts for something right? :P

The colors I am showing you today are: Fractured Foil, Cherry Smash, and Snow Blast

Here is Snow Blast over Wet N Wild Black Creme. The crackling was a bit fickle to get even on each nail, but I think it looks decent.

Next is Fractured Foil, a metallic silver. Out of the 3 this is my favorite color, but the crackle effect was not near as good as Snow Blast.

And finally here is Cherry Smash, a bright red. This one crackled really well with no issues.

So which are your favorites? How many of you are over the crackle trend? Thank you for reading! <3

*These polishes were sent to me for review in exchange for my honest opinions.

  1. I am not a fan of crackles either although I own several colors. I do not like the white or the red. But the silver is okay!

  2. Yeah, I think crackle is on my rare-occasion rotation at this point, but I like that silver -- looks a similar formula to their gold one which goes on like a dream. That white one could be really fun for a whitewash effect too!

  5. I'm not a big crackle fan either.. Ive tried to get into but being a borderline neat freak OCD I freak out over how "messy" (does that make sense?) it looks. But thanks for swatching these because I was curious to see how they compare to OPI and CG (:

  6. @ami- I totally understand...that's probably why I don't like it either. :)

  7. I use the crackles to cover up mistakes when I really don't want to redo my nails. It's a quick fix that looks neat. I'm pretty much over the crackle too, my daughter loves the bright pink crackle over her yellow nail polish.
