Hello again! I am back again today to show you something I have been meaning to post for a really long time now! I was using StumbleUpon (best thing ever!) and came across a genius tutorial for a magentic board to store makeup! I immediately fell in love and knew I had to do it myself!
There are many ways to do this, some more complicated than others. It can be as easy as getting a whiteboard and slapping some magents on your makeup or do what I did and have your hubby build a custom frame to go around a piece of sheet metal covered in fabric. haha
So here is the finished product! So cute and I have much more space now! You can see that I only included things that wouldn't break if they did fall off. So all my loose pigments shadows, cream liners and cream blushes stay up here. I also keep inspiration for makeup ideas here. This one is from Allure (best beauty mag!) Then I got a small makeup storage solution to keep my liners in.
Here's a closer detail. You can see that I put the magnets on the lid so I could see the names of each shade more clearly.
And here you can see the size of magnet I used. I first got the small, thin ones, but they weren't strong enough for anything. The next ones I got were larger and had adhesive attached already so all I had to do was stick em on! If you don't use magnets like these, then hot glue always comes off cleanly if you ever need to remove the magnet.
If you want to see a full tutorial, here is where I got my idea! Do you like this storage solution?
This is awesome.
